It's official: the club have announced that we've signed Cairney. The fee is undisclosed (natch) and the contract is until the summer of 2019, with a one year extension option on the club's part.

That's a very decent contract - player and lengthwise. The fee is (rumoured) at £3.5m which is also quite decent.

Seems a decent signing. I'll hold my hands up and admit I know next to nothing about him. On paper he ticks all the right boxes though so cause for optimism.
He's a good player, I'd have been happy for us to keep him at Hull.

It looks like the fee was indeed £3.5m, as we had sell-on clause for 25% of any profit, we flogged him for £500k and it's being reported here that we've just got another £750k.
