Bloody hell Germany hit bar with last kick of the game.....

England out on their feet but have another half hour to get through....

Great result.

Lee Carsley has now won 2 Under-21 championships and has 5 wins out of 6 for the full team.

But hey he didn't sing the national anthem so we best get a Chelsea reject in instead!

The packed national stadium in Vilnius for Riterai v Dainava, a top league match in a country where no one cares about football. England played in this stadium in 2017 and won 1-0. Lithuania and especially Vilnius is very nice and spectacularly laid back, third of the Baltics I’ve been to and just as good as the others.

My Dad was there in 1938. He worked for a London based Telecom but told us that he was sent there to "help install telephones", but my brother in Oz (just diagnosed with Prostate cancer aged 75), tells me that he once saw some paperwork that indicated Dad (aged 22) was actually working as a junior level clerk for the Foreign Office. He was also in Riga and we saw photos of him on his travels. When pressed about what he was actually doing over there he quoted the Official Secrets Act to us.
My Dad in later life (him and my Kilburn grandfather, Rangers through and through, and me - no choice)
