2010 (New Zealand)
Despite not making it out of the group, New Zealand were the only undefeated team at the World Cup after draws against Slovakia, Italy, and Paraguay.

I think Southgate is taking a liking to Sterling but not in football terms, should’ve played Bowen, crowd looks about 1000 or 2000, attraction zero, waste of time this tournament

It's 'behind closed doors' as a punishment for the Euro final shambles. Two thousand schoolkids.

Probably would have been full otherwise.

Oh thanks, thought the way England plays lately that fans couldn’t be bothered to turn up Lol
Sorry Jeff I really don’t get this. The way England have played recently has got them to the semi finals and final of the last two major tournaments. Best for decades. It’s easy to criticise and I do, but take a step back, we have a league with clubs largely owned by foreigners and more foreign players than Englishmen in it, yet we are doing better as an international team than for ages. I don’t get too excited by international football any more, but England must be exceeding expectations. The current tournament is meaningless and at a stupid time, can be ignored.

The idea of a World Cup in Qatar in December makes me feel sick and I’d like to think I won’t watch, but I’m sure when push comes to shove I’ll be hooked, and hoping we can take that last step.

Sterling must've put in one of the all time worst performances I've ever witnessed tonight . I'd struggle to give him 1 /10 ! He doesn't look engaged in the game at all, I can understand he's tired but as captain for the night you'd have expected a little more than this.

Maybe it’s me but I’ve got bored of watching England & international friendly matches especially when it disrupts rangers fixtures, used to go & watch England in 70/80’s & enjoyed it, maybe it’s an age thing

Mate, it's not age. International football has become stale I think. People are far more invested at club level, internationals have become.devalued by meaningless friendlies and competitions that actually mean **** all. Yes, thibgs will change when the World Cup starts, but we'll go back to meaningless competitions after - England playing in qualifiers is so droll as their opponents just stick 10 players behind the ball, hoping for a 0-0.

Fair enough and I agree there are too many internationals nowadays. I used to go as well and don’t bother now, but I think the team has done really well recently.

I agree with the comments..I used to go to Wembley often, wouldnt think of it now....too many internationals, this nations cup idea seems pointless.

I will of course be over excited and cheering England on at the Women's Euros and the men's world cup.
They mean something

I'm going tomorrow night with a few of the lads to see the WC playoff Australia v Peru game out in the sticks at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Hardly expecting a sellout crowd and the weather has been terrible, 50°+ temperatures and sandstorms

No chance of a pre-match pint either

The nation's league is much better than friendlies.
Unfortunately, the timing of it this year, at the end of a long season and a WC in December, makes it rather unimportant. Although, these are Southgate's only warm up games, plus a couple in the autumn.

Whats with all these play-offs taking place in the Arab States? FIFA really has sold out big time...

Ego. Certainly not for the benefit of the fans

Infantino has relocated his whole family here and is in thrall to the wealth on offer

It's all part of the show it seems
