Chris Wood of New Zealand scores a goal which was later overturned

Bellingham is having a poor game, as is Phillips by his usual standards.
Even James isn't his usual self, although he is being asked to play out of position.
Bowen and Gallagher aren't up to this level imo.
Not sure making so many changes every game is a good idea. England have put some decent stuff together against a much improved Hungary side.
All those complaining about having two holding midfielders are seeing what can happen when you don't.
Phillips lost his man for the goal, after a mistake by Kane, but is really outnumbered in there.
Bellingham just improving.

New Zealand dominated the game but couldn't make it tell, the sending off finished things. They'll be rueing a missed opportunity for a while !

England looking better with the change of formation, especially now Gallagher and Bowen have been replaced.
Still not sure what Southgate is trying to do with the midfield.
Phillips still isolated in the centre. Rice would be the number one choice if he's going with just one holding.
So many changes and tinkering with only two more games before the WC.
Really doesn't bode well.
Confidence is a huge factor and these games are leaving England with no confidence whatsoever.

four years anyway

FULLTIME! Heartbreak for New Zealand, as Costa Rica cling on for a 1-0 win to book their spot at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
