I've only just seen that on MOTD. Madness!

Pickford should have had a lengthy suspension as well as a red, regardless of a previous offside.
Amazing that VAR can spot that offside but not a handball from Werner scoring for Chelsea.
But all is good because they still let three goals in and entertained us all by playing a genuine clown in goal.

The Pickford incident gets worse the more you look at it, and you're right about a lengthy suspension as well. I haven't got to the Chelsea match as I've been pausing it and at the moment the Newcastle game is just starting.

You’ll enjoy the Chelsea game. Sorry about the spoiler. Werner actually looks very good.

The Chelsea defending would be great if it was accompanied by the Benny Hill music - theme tune. I can't believe Alex McCarthy is still playing in the top tier.
I had Timo Werner as my dark horse as the striker for the 'Golden Boot' in the World Cup Prediction League back in 2018. He was probably a bit too young and inexperienced at the time. I think he will have a great career. It's a shame some of it will be with Chelsea, but to be honest, I don't really care too much about that rivalry anymore. It's wasted energy.

Roll up, roll up, only three minutes left to shell out £14.95 to watch Sheffield Utd v Fulham. There’s value for money or what.

FFS.

Would love to know the numbers laying out for these. Probably a tiny fraction of the numbers watching for free when they could have not taken the piss with it at a fiver and brought in more revenue. I can’t believe £15 is the revenue-maximising price for this product when it’s so easy to get around it.

Everyone has been losing money big time, hopefully the take up on this will be poor enough for them to have to start cutting prices. I've got the Sky Sports package on Virgin but am seriously considering giving it the elbow as when there was no football my bill was reduced by half. As my income is now half what it was this time last year it seems a no brainer...

Just watching Pne v Cardiff, Cardiff have Harry Wilson on loan from Liverpool for the season, how come we cant get loanee's of his quality, Liverpool must be paying a large chunk of his wages, it just irritates

Many of these PL loanees come with a large fee attached to whatever wage is agreed. Manning went for £250k which is probably less than Wilson's loan fee...

Though if you really need to see all 340 remaining PL fixtures the cost is probably the least of your problems.

Very true, but I think it highlights how absurd this pricing model is. In Australia there is a company called Optus Sport, you can watch the whole Premier League season for $139 Aus Dollars. So in effect, you could for the same money fly to Australia, spend the summer on Bondi beach watch all of the football and pay for your accommodation for their whole summer.

Just saw the end of that PNE game, Smithies dropped a high ball into his area and, promisingly as we play PNE Wednesday, Pearson was limping about after seeming to land badly and do something to his leg.

To be honest, I don't get all this furore over these charges.
If I couldn't have watched the Merseyside derby yesterday, I may have forked out 15 quid for it and there may be one or two others I would consider paying for too.
However, the main reason for paying the 15 quid would be to watch your own team surely?
How much would you shell out to go to a game?

Level is onside. If they really must review, they should forget about drawing lines and just look at the still picture. No referee could say that was offside.

I get that, if we must have VAR (I know what you think), then the technology draws a line and that incredibly close decisions get thrown up.
This results in positions that are, to all intents and purposes level, being deemed offside.
Imo, if there is no daylight, according to the technology, between the forward and the defender it is deemed onside.
Then, if there is an incredibly small gap detected at least it can't really be called level.
