Probably based on winning 3 consecutive Champions leagues
Is that all?
Just as l thought, a novice with beginners luck.
Can't see him do so well in the PL.
Maybe my dislike for him is hindering my view on him.

1-0 City. Sterling from a fantastic Cancelo pass
It was, he seems to be alot betting at finishing when he doesn't have time to think about it. Just like the sitter he missed in the 2nd half, when he usually just falls over for no real reason !Fantastic pass, but an equally fantastic finish.
Incredibly difficult technique.

It's not criticism of him it's a fact. I've lost count of the number of times he seems to fall over infront of goal for no apparent reason. First time finishes seem to come much more naturally to him than when he has time to think about it. He seems to dawdle and totally lose his thought process, its a strange one.Mmm....I don't share the ritual criticism of Sterling.
If that finish was by anyone else, everyone would be in raptures.

I’m rather enjoying the unfolding farce at Manchester Urinals.
Struggling to attract even an interim manager, top target for the permanent position a man who has the grand total of one French cup in his trophy cabinet as a manager.
How the mighty etc etc…..

It is an opinion, but 1 goal from 7 shots on target all from 7 big chances would suggest poor finishing ! He doesn't score nearly enough given the chances he gets put on a plate. I can't think of many players that would look poor playing in that side so it will be interesting to see how he gets on at another club when he leaves there. Obviously he's not gonna go to a terrible team, although if the Barcelona rumour is true he could struggle there.

To be fair .. Man City on the whole have not been performing to their expected high level. Sterling has also not been a first choice selection with a lot of transfer speculation - which usually has an effect on performance. So not the greatest of seasons to pull out stats. You could equally pull out the last three seasons and say he’s scored 47 goals in 98 games - not a bad ratio on the surface of things.
On balance, it does seem that City and Guardiola seem prepared to let him move on - so I guess that impacts his play time/performance.
Like Col, I think he is a class player. He can turn a game through assists or scoring. He just needs to keep his drive and enthusiasm high to keep at his best. On form he’s a key player in any team in the world; in average form he drops out of the game too much. You pays your money and takes your choice.
I didn't say he wasn't a class player, I just said he misses alot of sitters where he simply falls over and looks like he's had a momentary brain fade. I know he's scored alot of goals for them over the past few years but goodness knows how many chances he's had supplied for him. He's not a natural finisher and alot of his goals are quick instinctive strikes its the ones where he has the goal at his mercy and so much time to think that he seems to miss. Its certainly a strange one

All I can find career wise is his conversion rate of goals to shots which is 22%. Which equats to a goal every 5 shots roughly. Its his career conversion rate of sitters that I'm interested in as these are the ones he tends to fluff or fall over. Anyway enough on him, everyone has their opinion. Like I've said already I don't think he's a poor player it's just the amount of times he falls over right infront of goal that baffles meIt's career stats that tell us more surely, not over a few games?
Now put up his England stats.

Still no other goals to report in Championship........ would suit us quite nicely if scores remained the same to FT.......
Be happier if Brum could win
