Poland are as dirty as Hungary, if not dirtier. I had a lot of respect for Poland and Hungary during the Euro's, but that's gone out of the window after the past week.
Like the fact that with 87 minutes gone England are still pressing from the front and forcing Poland into going long........
Mmm....poor game management. Couldn't keep the ball and gave them too much space. Poland celebrating like they've won the world cup. Take the point and move on.
You'd think they'd won the game the way their fans are celebrating.....they're third, behind ARMENIA, in the group
Yep. Fantastic turn. You don't see Walker done like that too often. Learning curve still for this team, who I thought were excellent second half.
Agreed thought England looked very controlled in first half and in control second half....... just lost that control in last few minutes when the kitchen sink was being thrown at them by Poland.......
Maybe one or two subs with fresh legs could have been made in last 10 minutes by England as the original starting 11 started to tire....... would have slowed the game down and broken it up to stop Poland building that head of steam before the goal........
Agreed. Me and the lad were saying that. Rice and Phillips looked a bit leggy in those last few minutes and Poland were finding quite a lot of space. Not the best performance from England but we move on. It's funny, but this is the first time in my lifetime that I always expect us to win or at least not lose. This squad fills me with such confidence.
Strange that substitutions weren't used to slow the game and disrupt the Poles in the last few minutes.... A bit of manager fatigue there perhaps.. I hope he learns. Three important matches in a week is a tough ask, yes I know it's the same for all teams ( but remember we were complaining about the same thing a couple of weeks ago...with Middlesbrough and Hull away around a home match) But in a cauldron that was Warsaw, it was a good point in the end.
