Zlatan, aged 39, has scored his seventh goal in four league games this season for AC Milan, comfortably top of the league. Even with him the squad has an average age of under 25, the lowest in Serie A. Could the good times be returning?

Everyone's favourite centre forward (for 5 minutes) Bamford misses an absolute sitter and then straight up the other end Leeds gift Leicester an opening goal.

Leeds playing some pretty football, but playing into Leicester's hands by giving the ball away and allowing counter attacks.
0-2 now.

I see “Giggsy” is being investigated for doing a “Depp”. That’ll please Sky because they love him.

I still can’t understand why they bounced Nicholas, le Tiss & Tommo out the door, but still revere that whining spitter.

AFC Wimbledon's Plough Lane return: 'There was just an irresistible pull'

Almost 30 years after Wimbledon left SW19, AFC Wimbledon will host Doncaster Rovers at the new Plough Lane on Tuesday.

Good luck to them - hopefully not a ground we'll be visiting anytime soon though

Amazing to think it was just 18 years ago their club was 'stolen' with the approval of the arseholes at the FA. To battle their way back from the 8th level to where they are now is incredible and shames those who backed MK...

Maradona to undergo brain surgery in Argentina...

Just turned 60. Almost a surprise he has lasted this long. Saw him play three or four times for Napoli, he was an immense presence and clearly the only reason they, and Argentina, ever won anything, one of the very few (struggling to name any more actually) who can carry a team to victory at the highest level. When you see a team including Maldini and Baresi taking special measures to contain one opposition player, you know something special is happening (happily for me Milan had the jinx on Napoli in those years, so it worked). There are many players I like more than him, but I suspect he’s the best I will ever see, certainly in the flesh, probably in any format.

Good luck Diego.

I saw him play at Wembley for Argentina a few times, and he was superb. He'll never be forgiven for the "Hand of God" but he does have to be respected for what he has done with lesser talents around him. The only modern day equivalent would probably be Ronaldo as he has had success at every club and at international level. I've only seen him once, and he was brilliant.

Hope Diego gets through this ok

Brentford 1-0 Swansea....Toney scored again his 10th goal of the season, he's made it look easy stepping up from league 1 from Peterborough....

What he did in his Italian spell was truly remarkable especially considering the 'hatchet men' were given free rein in those days unlike today's cosseted stars. I was lucky enough to see him at Wembley for Argentina against England in 1980 when he was just a rumour. Inside 10 minutes he went past four defenders like they weren't there and shot just wide, he had arrived...
