To be fair to the England set up, I think there are a number of factors - mainly his fitness, but of course he then needs to find time to come back into form. He’s also in a position where actually there is quite a bit of competition and because his style is so pivotal, the England team would need to be built around him rather than more flexible.
If he can stay fit though, I think he will become a fixture in the England team for quite a few years.
