I talked about this to my nephew, a Newcastle supporter, and he thinks Jamal may not make the 25 man squad and therefore a loan could be possible. He also thinks Jamal may have an injury as he hasn't featured in the pre-season.

Two days late I know but, in case Duncan missed it, Josip Drmic was on the Dinamo Zagreb bench for their Champions League win over Chelsea on Tuesday. He came on in the dying stages, replacing the tired Petkovic.
There are lots of players that failed in England join a lower standard league elsewhere and appear in the Champions league as a sub .

The only ex players I would want back would be Madisson or Buendia, you can do a week by week appraisal of them if you want that's probably Farke's fault too.
