Leeds lost, so we're just 3 points from safety (OK, I know it's effectively 4 because of goal difference).

Other games hadn't gone too well for us this weekend, with Villa and Watford both winning, keeping us 5 points from safety, so it's good that we've made up ground on one team at least.

Plus, of course, we're off the bottom (eat your heart out, TalkSport!)

We also made momentous ground against Newcastle! And Burnley and Brentford, all of them I think will be in the mix at the business end of the season

I'm a little bit unsure about Newcastle. It depends how well they do before Janaury, when they will evitable try to buy their way to safety. But that could also go against them, I guess, changing a whole new team, they may not settle in, fast enough.

No Ollie Skipp for Spurs this afternoon against Leeds. He was a regular under Nuno, and played in new manager Conte's first league match (v Everton). May be worth keeping an eye on how things develop from here for Ollie.

No chance. I believe he was absent due to the amount of yellow cards he's accumilated

It's almost annoying Newcastle will be able to buy their way to safety.

We can hope!

More likely to re sign Mo Leitner

Interesting to hear essentially the same arguments around Gilmour's performances as we had with Leitner (and perhaps Vrancic as a 6/8 not 10). All capable of being highly effective in a team that's on top, but struggle when they can't control the ball and need to contribute defensively.

I would have liked to see more of Leitner and Vrancic as "deep-lying playmakers" in a 4-3-3.

It'll be interesting to see if Smith feels that McLean and Normann are the right pairing to provide the platform from which Gilmour can produce.

Based purely on Sorensen's absence from the matchday 18, he's presumably not seen as an immediate solution.
