He was 3rd choice behind the Murphy brothers at the time and struggled to get much game time when he went to Brentford, but has been a late developer. He's very much a winger though, and wouldn't fit in Farkeball and certainly wouldn't displace our options now.

Not sure about good game. All Spurs got a rating of 7 or 8 except Skipp who was 6 on Sky.

Edit. Just checked BBC to be fair. He got 7.09 rating so I assume that is the average of several scores. Here he was 5th in the squad scores so better than Sky gave him.

No, I don't think it does Robbie. Skipp was very effective and competent at his DM role, but offered little more on top of that. He didn't score, other than that one breakaway goal, he had few assists and played few killer passes or through balls. That's about a 6.75 rating for me compared to a Yaya Toure, for example. B+ rather than an A in my report.

His POTS vote was boosted by Spurs votes, IMO. That doesn't mean I wouldn't have him back on a loan, as that's all we can afford, but he wouldn't be my first choice if we had more money available.

That's true, but his value to the team was enormous precisely because of it. That's what the WhoScored ratings fail to capture. I wonder what Darren Huckerby's ratings looked like. Or Vidic's at Man United, who seldom made a tackle. A player's performance value often derives, not from what he does but what he doesn't do.

That last bit has a cryptic charm, Robbie, but sorry, I'm not convinced. My rating still coincides with WhoScored's.
