According to the Forbes list updated to March 2023, Inter Milan's squad value is in excess of $1 billion. Given your reason for hoping they beat Man City, Zog, I'm intrigued to know where the difference is. Surely not just the £/$ differential? For me I have enough when teams cost 1 billion to put together I want them all to lose

Value may have been a billion but the starting 11 cost lest than 100million to build, that’s less than 1 Jack GrealishAccording to the Forbes list updated to March 2023, Inter Milan's squad value is in excess of $1 billion. Which match starting eleven?Value may have been a billion but the starting 11 cost lest than 100million to build, that’s less than 1 Jack Grealish
I don't understand what "wanting them all to lose" means in the context of a game between two such teams, given the rules guarantee that one or other team must win.I said I wanted them all to lose. I know money has always been a big influence, but it's just so much now
The final, but I did see that on Twitter, I haven’t fact checked it tbhWhich match starting eleven?
YOU are giving it that context, Robbie. Zog was not. He was speaking generally (I believe). He was making the point that money has destroyed, or at least spoiled the game we grew up watching and loving . It’s not the same game. As an older man you should see this more than most. Correct me if I’m wrong Zog.I don't understand what "wanting them all to lose" means in the context of a game between two such teams, given the rules guarantee that one or other team must win.
I can see an ethical case for turning one's back entirely on professional soccer, but drawing some arbitrary line between "ethically acceptable" and "ethically unacceptable" spending to "buy" success doesn't make any sense to me. I'm sure there are plenty of supporters of National League clubs who feel about Wrexham as Zog feels about Man City. I'm afraid the pursuit of "fairness" in this context is as ill-founded as it is in any other context.
This started with Farke 19's post (#3180) "Hoping Inter can stop them", "them" being Man City. Zog gave that post a Like. If Liking that post doesn't mean that Zog too hoped that Inter "would stop" Man City winning, I don't know what it did mean. The only way Inter could stop Man City winning would be for Inter to win .......YOU are giving it that context, Robbie. Zog was not. He was speaking generally (I believe). I don’t think I’ve ever seen him pass a ball with his right foot let alone place a lovely shot in the bottom corner with it!The Lord Mayor scores the winner for Scotland!
Great to see McLean back. It was a clever build up for the goal and Kenny indeed guided it into the corner beautifully. His right foot is better than people think which is why he suits his new role under Wagner. Gunn also did well and almost saved Haaland's penalty. With 9 points out of 9 both will come into the pre-season full of confidence.I don’t think I’ve ever seen him pass a ball with his right foot let alone place a lovely shot in the bottom corner with it!
