I don’t think he misunderstood at all. I think he got you spot on and you misunderstood that he had in a desperate attempt to defend yourself. And your updated prediction on 1 September will likely be covered in exceptions a d caveats.
 
There is a huge difference from being owned by people like the Glazer's and selling them players.

We are not forced to trade with anyone ergo, not reliant on club owners with questionable ethics.

I don't understand your position.

Mine is that I would rather carry on our policy of developing players to fund our club and our squad by selling our young talent or securing television revenue.

Our owners love the club and are loyal fans people like the Venky family bought Bolton because they were for sale.

Would you rather sell the club in the hope they spend on players you deem satisfactory to compete in the Premier League?

Would you be happy to be part of a franchise like Watford where players are moved between leagues with the intention of siphoning money as a business?

You don't really make your position clear you just know we will finish bottom 3 .

Bit of both.
It's all a kinda silly point. If they hadn't made the game awash with filthy lucre, we would still be selling club, still buying and selling within a potentilly more modest means. It wasn't foreign ownership that ruined the competition in the game, it excaserbated it, but it was the PL that made the rich, richer and left so many behind.

As for us in the PL next season, I'm looking forward to a better crack at staying up, the key differences for me are:

-Coaching team have more experience and last season saw evidence of a better foundation to buld this season on.
-Webber with more experience, he saw we were short last time, he maybe could have spent more then, he sure can now. I expect our squad/team to be 17th competitive.
-Players, first XI better and with more experience (I saythis now but as with others, we can't know this until the window closes) If Emi does go as seems possible/probable I just can't see us replacing him with enough to stay up. There is hope and who knows what rabbits Webber has? But even at Championship level we struggle when he's not in the side.
-Budget, it will clearly be bigger this time around. but how much is left after Gibson and Giannoulis is anyones guess? I think we would be better ifwe could keep Emi, any other player I think Webber could still improve us. The sort of money beig touted for Arrons or Todd, I think could make us stronger, if Webber has time to spend it.

Yeah I agree it's a silly point hence my comment. As I said you play with the cards you get dealt, not the cards you wish you had. I think we'll give it a much better go this time, having sorted ourselves out financially. It was always going to be almost impossible to stay up last time with the resources we had and the 'almost' went out the window with our injures. For me SW's & DF's reign has been one of constant improvement overall. Will we continue to improve enough to stay up next season, maybe / maybe not, but if we do find ourselves back in the Championship rest assured we will be in a better position than we were last September. I'm kind of happy being a fan of a yoyo club. DF was recently interviewed and said we achieved all of our goals for this season. Finish next season having played entertaining football and stuck to our values, with more than 21 point, finished higher than 20th and avoid relegation and that will probably be all our goals achieved.

I have a couple of binner friends who keep giving it the 'yoyo' bit, I mearly say that I'd rather yoyo, than no no (It should be more than two no's for all their woes! No promotion, no fans, no football played, no future, for a very long spell even, No goals.).
You're right of course, it's all about continuous improvement. Keep the accademy producing and we stay financially viable to stay in that top 26. I only hope that Webber's succession planning is as good as all else bcause so much of the current club good health stems from him.

Penalty shootout isn't great, from both takers and goalkeepers.

Not a patch on Krul, or the way Cantwell, Idah, etc dispatched pens with confidence against Spurs.

I couldn’t believe that he hasn’t saved a penalty for 4 years, it goes back 6 and a half years for his last pen save in the PL! But then Man Utd only get given them they rarely have one given against them.

To be fair, made this comment after the first 8 or so pens, the quality seemed to go up and up. Coquelin taking the 9th and finding the top corner was excellent.
