Wow, I missed all the action 4-3 Newcastle (Norwich - couldn't happen to a nicer team?).

Wow, a hat-trick for Dwight Gayle - he was always tricky with goals in him, but Palace only used to bring him on for the last 10 mins as a super impact sub.

I was helping my daughter with a homework assignment - name five significant songs about Canada, by Canadian artists - e.g. Neil Young - Four Strong Winds etc.

In Europa Cup play, Saints, with Charlie being rested, got a 0-0 at Hapoel Be'er-Sheeva in Israel.

Dundalk just went 1-0 hosting M'bi Tel-Aviv, and Man Utd are fortunate to be 1-0 up home to Zorya Luhansk as Rooney horribly fluffs a volley that bounces up for Ibrahimovic to nod in.

Great result for Dundalk tonight. The first Irish club to win a game in the group stage of the Europa League. Heard they deserved the win too. Really brilliant for domestic football over here. They now have a realistic chance of qualifying for the second group stage. Delighted for them.

Watching Palace v Everton Fri night match (0-0 @ 27') and was wondering why the clapping @ 15' mark, but the commentators didn't mention anything.

Here's why, #15, the "other" Benteke bro.

Jonathan Benteke: Crystal Palace striker out for four months

Jonathan Benteke joined Crystal Palace on a one-year contract
Crystal Palace striker Jonathan Benteke has been ruled out for between three and four months with a knee injury.

The 21-year-old Belgian, the younger brother of Palace record signing Christian, has made one appearance for the Eagles since signing in August.

Palace manager Alan Pardew said the injury news was "disappointing" for both club and player.

Pardew, whose team visit Everton in the Premier League on Friday, said: "His meniscus on his knee is the problem."

Everton 1-0 up after a Romelu Lukaku free kick where his defensive wall didn't jump and the keeper didn't move.

Not sure about the free kick decision though:-

35' Told you it was a dangerous free-kick. Romelu Lukaku steps up and curls a belter of a shot over the wall and into the net. Steve Mandanda didn't stand a chance.

However, I'm sure Alan Pardew will have something to say about the incident that led to the free-kick, particularly the handling of the ball by Jagielka.

34' Damien Delaney sticks in a high boot on Phil Jagielka and is penalised, giving Everton a very dangerous free-kick on the edge of the Palace box.
Jagielka might have got a bit lucky there as he handled the ball in the incident...

Kevin Kilbane, Former Everton and Sunderland winger on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Brilliant! Romelu Lukaku gets the ball up and down so quickly. That's what Drogba used to do.

Palace keeper Steve Mandanda can't move because of the pace on it. Lukaku wanted the free-kick, took charge of the situation ahead of Ross Barkley and scored a superb goal. He should be on them all the time.

1-1 now although it looked as if 35 yr old Damien Delaney (remember him) had made it 2-1 Palace.

What did Palace end up doing with Jordan Mutch?

Jason Puncheon on the goal post saves a sure goal for Palace (really don't know why more teams don't defend that way from set pieces).
