Was a professional display, kept the ball, not once did we panic, all was alright, but nothing special...

CP and their guy bith admitted it was a goal, but only after frame by frame analysis.... Apparently Solly's was over as well!

Apparently Nardiello said something along the lines of 'Oi, Lino you stupid pr**k. That was over the fu***ng line, you cheating c**t. Allegedly.

How do the rules on swearing work, if you go to an official "****ing hell, surely that crossed the line" is that a yellow, if you go "You're a **** " is that a red or if you go "I say linesman, I do believe you're a cheating rotter" is that a red because of the accusation of cheating, even though you didn't swear?

Incidentally, Nardiello is a former Man U player, a club whose players never abuse officials :-)

i think waggy is also wasted on the wing, its getting frustrating that as a winger he cant beat his man nor put in a good cross, once greens back from illness i would rather see waggy as a striking sub to impact the game as an alternative to hayes/euell.

I think if it's done in frustration and not aimed at an official then it's considered acceptable. The moment it becomes aimed at the official then players are on shaky ground. I suspect with it being about 4 minutes after the incident the ref deemed it totally avoidable and a pre planned action, not a heat of the moment situation. The accusation of cheating is, it appears, more serious than being called anything else.
Got to say though that it happens week after week in the prem and not a lot happens bar the occasional booking.

From where I was in North Lower, 3/4's of the ball looked over the line, I think Hamer just got there in time but I'll probably be proven wrong on the Football League Show, oh wait, they probably won't show it more than once at normal speed. Ridiculous what Nardiello did though, the incident has gone, the ref can't change his mind now, just let it go, your unprofessionalism could have cost your team 1 or even 3 points.

Solly was awesome, especially in the 2nd half, always wanting the ball, great to see how far he has come.

Hayes had a mare but as others have said, BWP may not be as effective without him.

Agree on Solly, Stephens and Waggy.

So my point, agree with you Super, whilst Hayes frustrated many today and made mistakes the facts are he has now laid in BWP two games in a row with great touches. They work well, they are in a wavelength that will only get stronger.

The bench, if Benson is fit he needs to be on here, we have no option beyond Pritchard there to change a game, it seems to be completely built around scrapping away at holding a lead, problem comes if we haven't got it! Benno is the proper striking option that everyone is asking for.

As for Nardiello, I'll accept what managers have said, didn't look over to me, but so be it. My point to the City fans(who are close to my heart) is and always will be, if you're boy did that on a Sunday morning you'd expect him to be sent off and he'd be chastised. Simple, you can't do that no matter what has happened, he deserved his punishment, he punished his team, worst thing is if he still thinks he's justified.

I think Hayes may be one of those players who performs better away from home, granted he does look the weakest link in the team right now but for a team that's unbeaten in 7 and won 5 of those he's not even that much of a weak link in the side but i'd still rather Hayes over Mooney or Burton anyday and certainly don't think he deserved the jeers he got from a small section of the crowd when taken off

Solly is growing on me each game but definitely think Green needs to come into the team when fit.

Pretty much agree with most of the comments on here:

Solly - phenomenal

BWP - lethal finisher

Hayes - good assist, poor game in comparison to previous matches

Wiggins - appauling, yet to see a 'good' game from him.

As others had said, I really hope Green gets well soon.

Ideal league starting 11 (judging by first few games):

Hamer
Solly-Taylor-Morrison-Evina
Green-Stephens-Hollands-Jackson
BWP-Hayes

Subs
Sullivan, Hughes, Mambo, Wagstaff, Benson

Solly average
Wagstaff below average
Stephens went missing for 90 % of the game
Wiggins - my patience can only stretch so far - needs a good game ASAP
Hayes gave the ball away too often but was the sole creative spark on the pitch for us

We were lucky
They scored - inches over the line
If it was 11 v 11 they would have battered us

Think we need to hope Green goes to Lourdes in time for the cup game

I agree with most that Solly was MoM; that BWP worked really hard; that Hayes' touch may have been off today but that the passes he's attempting are exactly right and are the centre of some of our best football.

Waggy's motivation worries me. Why does it take 2 belting runs from the fullback to show him that he ought to get to try to beat his man? Did he watch the way BWP pulled the ball back for Stephens to score (and no Sir Chris - it wasn't in exactly the same position)? Waggy's decision making and awareness of those around him seems to disappear particularly in the second half.

Stephens (despite his goal) and Hollands seem to run out of puff in the second half. The opposition work out that JJ isn't going to go past them on the outside, and we seem to lose possession of the ball really easily. Same against Wednesday. BWP was having to work really hard and come deep to pick up the ball. There is a lot of depth and flexibility in the squad. JJ could drop back to LB and Hughes come on LM. Waggy could go into the centre and Pritchard go right or CM. I would have liked to have seen Bover on the bench with Hughes or Pritchard, just so we have someone creative there.

Unlike some others I'm not worried that we have the players in the squad, my worry is CP's unwillingness to use them.

WE NEED A CHANGE IN PLAYERS QUICKLY LOT HAVE RUN OUT OF IDEAS WE GOING GET FOUND OUT SOON????????????THIS RUN CANT CONTINUE NEEDS FRESHERNING UP A BIT ie drop jackson, stephens, waggy and hayes to the bench with others like bover green and euell alonso comming in
