Chocolate Premiere League Champions

  • Poll closed .
The adjudicating panel (me) sat for an extended selection period this morning (5 minutes). The poll is up.

Whilst you may argue about the wisdom of the selection panel, no changes will be made now. Those bars who have missed out are already on the beach.

You can vote for two. Votes public. Open for 2 days when the award ceremony will take place.
Incredible dedication, giving up so much weekend for the cause. Thankyou.
Before I vote, can you confirm the points system. With two selections, do both get 1 point, or will it be 2 pts for first selection and one point for second. Important, because we saw what happened with the vote for what colour the hut should be painted on Auf Weidersein

My understanding is that VladTop will count all the votes, and choose his favourite…

My haul today, all from b&m.
Big Aeros, both £1.59, big Toblerone, both £3.99.
The coconut aero is a new one for me, they're all in the fridge so will report back later once they're cold. High hopes for this aero.

It's nice. Very different to Bounty. Feel like a walk to the corner shop is on the cards this evening

Just tried it, very nice.
Coconut flavoured, but without coconut bits like bounty, and obviously with it being Aero, its bubbly, not dense.
Very, very nice indeed.
I find coconut a funny taste. I like Coconut water, but not keen on the actual hard white fruit. This aero thing could be up my street.

Non of that for me. Grew up enjoying Topic, Marathon and Mars bars. Matured into Cadbury Fruit and Nut hidden in my secret stash behind the picture of SNQ, me and the lad when he was 6 months... everyone knows where my secret stash is like, but who cares.

Enjoy your chocolate lads <cheers>

Mars used to be the staple, didn't it! If you asked for a bar of chocolate and didn't specify you'd get a mars bar. We have a tin that the bairns can choose from occasionally, mostly tesco knock off versions of the big brands and kit kats. Eldest's fave is the mars knock off so I got him a mars easter egg this year. He tried his first legit mars bar and said..."I like it dad, not quite as good as a Caramel Dream, but I do like it!"....you'll do for me, son! <laugh>

Some of the copy cat stuff is just as good, maybe better imo. I am partial to sweets in the car, hard boiled stuff. Rhubarb and custard are my favs. Me Mam still buys me a little box from Aldi and gives me it every time I am round to sort her and me Dad out. My wife took the car a week ago to see her Dad and she counted 8 boxes in the driver door bin <laugh> She gave 5 boxes to her Dad <doh><laugh> They are lush. I treated myself at a food festival thing once to some posh ones for £2.50. Aldi ones much nicer

My mother in law still buys me tins of M&S Shortbread biscuits every Christmas... can this be included in the alternatives?

Mars are ridiculously underrated.

Almost like nobody ever says it but they are eternally godly. Weirdly you rarely choose one but everyone you do you say to whoever you with ‘my god Mars bars are banging’

You then proceed to have everything but a Mars for several months.
