In the days when I used to support Charlton, I was at Hull for the 6-0 shambles in January 2016, Riga's first game back.
This was one of the worst performances I have ever witnessed since 1976. It was certainly the lowest point in the car crash period of Dishitelet.
Cracking day out and drink.

My last trip to Hull also ended in disappointment. Around 1990 at Boothferry Park .....Bob Bolder conceded a free kick in the penalty area in injury time ....we were 2-1 up at the time .....they scored from it, and the ref blew up. Long trip home that day :emoticon-0108-speec

Absolutely nailed on we'll lose this. Hull are on a shocker of a run.
Couldn't help but be amused by this as a Hull fan. We have a saying 'typical City' which we trot out regularly when we play a team on a losing run and get them back into form, so feels like long suffering Charlton and Hull fans probably see life in a similar way! From a Hull point of view, we also have to worry about the immutable law of the ex, if you play Maddison. He came to us on loan in January and despite looking like a talented footballer, his reputation for being primarily interested in Marcus Maddison followed him to Hull. Didn't seem like he really wanted to be there. So no great loss that he didn't sign for us - until he has a blinder for you to0morrow of course!

MM has been very average for us as well.

That 6-0 game you played some cracking stuff, you should have had a few more.

Last trip<laugh>, ffs we have been there a few times since.

Yes, I saw that game too. We had a very talented team for the Championship at the time (got promoted again through the playoffs). Then the daft owners hacked off Steve Bruce and it's been pretty much downhill since! Both clubs have suffered very badly from ownership issues over the last few years.

Here’s a question - would anyone have Hull’s Josh Magennis back ahead of any of our current 4 strikers ?

I’d say he’s better than Bogle

Different to Smyth

Equal to Washington

And fitter than Aneke <laugh>

@kingstontiger, the first time I went to the new ground was early 2002 for a game with York. There were bloody helicopters flying over the ground. I did not realise it was a grade A game for plod.

Much as it is my impulse to laugh, Magennis did get 10 goals for us in two consecutive seasons (if memory serves).
My mum is better than Bogle.

Funny thing about Magennis he went from hero to zero ...could do nothing wrong at first fans loved him ...then could do nothing right and hated ..don’t happen often not including off pitch stuff like snake Taylor
