Depends how you define ‘real deal’, but for this level there is no reason to believe he won’t be an extremely good signing. He’s clearly a late developer but is now beginning to enter his peak. He has been a key part of team’s that have qualified for Europe and won a domestic cup competition. He has very recently made it in to the Dutch squad on the back of his performances in the Dutch league and those scouts definitely weren’t judging him on a couple of Youtube video’s You can put a 5 goal Youtube compilation together especially if you spread those goals out over a number of seasons. But there is a 7 minute video on this thread of goals from the last season alone. Most telling of all. No player in the Eredivise has more goals and assists over the three last years than him. That is more impressive than any Youtube compliation
Bizarrely there must've been some good 'uns. I still can't get my head around the sight of 45,000 Man City fans giving him a standing ovation a couple of months back
Somebody within the club selected an incompetent company to run the tour. It wasn't just the lack of opposition, it was also unplayable/dangerous pitches. That's the club's fault.
I still can't get my head around the fact that Ramsey actually allowed him a 5 minute cameo at City when we were well and truly tonked.....
Just throwing this out there Stan.......but would the pitches been unplayable had it not been for the heatwave that Italy enjoyed (?) in the weeks and months leading up to the tour.....there are some factors that are outside everyones control......
Seems very sensible. Genuinely not wishing to put a damper on things but highlights are just that. There are probably 'lowlights' too.
New arrival Tjaronn Chery didn't take long to impress at Harlington with this nice little hat-trick during a small-sided game ...
Who is the big tall fellow who starts the sequence for Cherys first two goals? Sorry the first goal, it is not the same person in the second goal (thats Greeno)....is the first goal started by Poulter
