I'm surprised you agree with this statement.
I've dreaded this moment for nearly 30 years.

It's going to take Carragher thirty seconds to say the word "season".

"Dis is by far da greatest seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaason in da history of football not just in dis here ****ry but in any ****ry in da world."

I'm telling you as someone who has had their entire life seeing United win it has been blanket coverage.

At least you've had the good times - I started watching around 95 and grew up having United thrown around everywhere, friends reminding you every year when United win - I grew up having to put up with it!

You perhaps don't see it as you obviously indulged in it which is fair enough.

If Liverpool do win then yes there will be a lot said as not won in so long.

I've had my whole life of the media banging on about United winning title after title, trophy after trophy, look at how **** Liverpool are, how long they haven't won, the cult of Alex Ferguson, King Eric, Christiano Ronaldo, Vidic and Rio etc etc.

Football in this country revolved around United for a bloody long time as the Prem suckled on the cash cow.

And there is then the class of ****ing '92 that gets brought up so much in the media that they made it into a film!

You don't know how good as you've had it.

The reason it was relentless at times was because United were winning things year upon year. The momentum of any media coverage was always because of that. Had we won it as a one off after 30 years, you wouldn't have seen any of the things you describe. Which I guarantee you will be different when LFC do it.

And we've also had the hate in equal measure. Whenever anyone rivalled United, the ABU media always wanted the other team to succeed.

I have no ill-feeling (beyond the rivalry) for Liverpool winning the league this season. At times, including yesterday I've felt, you know what they're doing the business and if they do go on to win it then fair play to them. It's just the expectant bollox from the media (not even the fans which is to be expected and rightly so), but just the livpl biased footy media.

I still think City will come through so it won't happen.

You're alright!

Yeah fair enough.

I see things from the other coin and think it would be a pleasant change from what used to.

In fairness when united won it in 1993 after 26 years the ****fest was every bit as bad as what it will be like if pool win it this season.

There were constant references to United being back where they belong, hoq could a club with their history go so long etc etc...and so became born a generation of ABUs!

Erm how do you think fans of Liverpool have felt over the past 20 years?

Get a grip.

And, Sky, The press and media will go overboard though, I don’t remember anyone going overboard when we won the league in 2013.

It'll be worse simply because ex-Liverpool players are crawling all over Sky and BT. Souness, Thompson, Redknapp, McManaman, Carragher.

Yesterday the pundits for the Liverpool v Chelsea game were Souness, Redknapp, Carragher with Ashley Cole thrown in as a token Chav.

Recently Carragher's even been commentating like he's in one of those fan booths that Sky used to have.

Sky were insufferable yesterday, I thought I was LFC TV.

Phil Thompson will come out with a line like “dis isn’t just any ordinary title win, dis is a Liverpool title win” and then pause dramatically like he’s said something profound. All Liverpool fans will nod knowingly while dreaming of da catheeeeedral while everyone else on the planet will wonder what the **** the old fraggle is on about.

Dark times.

They’ll call it a miracle, Despite spending over £100m last summer.

Probably because you’d won it several times in recent years beforehand. It’s really not difficult.

Winning it against this City team (and likewise for City against this Pool team) would add to the achievement. Whoever finishes second will probably be the best second places side in the Prem era.

Imagine that gurning cheerleader if they win it? Oh Lordy.

They’ll wheel out every Kopite from the last 30 years who’s still drawing breath & no doubt reference a fair few who aren’t. Sky will do an hour long special on the hunt for the Holy Grail & the usual suspects - Carra, Sourness, McManaman & ****ing Thommo will be constantly frotting themselves over a ‘new PL order’.

It’ll be too much even for the most moderate neutral, please reconsider brothers, stand with me.

<laugh>

If you thought it was bad yesterday, Wait until they win it, It’s going to be a bad summer for United and Everton fans if it happens.

I wasn’t around when they last won it, I take it it’s going to be bad if it happens.
