It is a definate possibility, and that would in part back up my theory the players have given up on Walter which is unprofessional.
It is but it’s always happened jim unfortunately
Maybe with robins getting sacked the players stopped listening to him after so many years it gets stale too the same message.

much as they’re maligned nowadays
A warnock an allardyce a MOYES (that’s for you Acun) gets at them bollocks them motivates them puts an arm round their shoulder and tells them how good they are and how the old manager was **** and he believes in them like the old one didn’t

it works and it’s what we need now

One thing ill say about slater

He proper pussies out of challenges doesnt he

You dont see likes of bannan doing what slater did before pedro gave the pen

Yeah. Final game of last season against Plymouth he shirked a tackle in the first couple of minutes and that set the tone for the rest of that game. Some of them wouldn’t put their bodies on the line for Rosenior and they actually liked him so someone like Walter had no chance and was doomed from the start.

His dad and brother make out like he’s some sort of tough terrier in midfield. He’s a badge-kissing quim.

At the end of the day it's football, kicking a ball to a team mate or into the goal. If the other team have the ball it's about tackling them and stopping them kicking the ball to a team mate or into the goal.
I think too many are getting into statistics, analysing everything, Xgs, formations, philosophys, master plans, and all the other things and forgetting to keep it simple stupid, KISS

Fenerbahce are playing in the Europa League tomorrow night so love the fact that Acun will be taking council from Jose Mourinho sometime tonight on who he recommends as the new Hull City manager not by reading some drivel predictions on Hull Live comments or opinions on Facebook fans forums.
F*ck knows who recommended Walter but it wasn't Mourinho.
Interesting poll in the HDM, I expected the majority would put the blame for our current plight on Walter, but they've resoundingly blamed Acun.

Who is most at fault for the clubs current position?

The ownership/board - 59%
Tim Walter - 33%
The players - 8%

Acun has to be responsible. He makes the decisions and he made the wrong one. **** knows how or why he thought it would work . Crazy.

We do without a doubt lack any sort of bite in the squad and have for a while now, is that an issue for us or is it just the modern game?

Bit of both I think. If we’d brought in someone like Travers from Blackburn then you see more bite. But I feel like midfielders like him are becoming fewer and fewer

And yet an hour before kick-off he backed the Coach and said he was going nowhere, even if we lost.

Scroll forward after sitting through 2 hrs of toxically charged torture,he does a spectacular U-turn and tells him to clear his desk(not that I'm saying it was wrong, far from it).****ed if I'd be buying a second hand car off him,he's inconsistent and erratic at best...

It’s not just us that have this issue but it’s not ubiquitous in modern football, in my opinion.

Man City have loads of physicality and bite throughout their squad whilst being the most technically-gifted squad in the world. Walker, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri and Haaland are all strong and have a nasty streak to wind up opponents and use their physicality.

Time and time again, under Arveladze, Rosenior and Walter we have come up against teams that have just bullied us. Sheffield United actually looked bang-average at the MKM this season but took the piss out of us on our own turf and won 2-0.

****ing hell, rover. I hope the business owner you made wealthy thanked you for it and is paying for your healthcare. No medals for working yourself to death or a hospital bed unfortunately.

There's enough machinery, h&s, knowledge and tech these days that no one should destroy their body working. Best of luck with your health for the future.
When I started work nobody knew what H&S was, no courses to tell you the correct way to pick up, no safety lines etc. I had it drummed into me work hard and you'll feel better for it. You was given a job and you just got on with it but I was ok with that. You just don't think about further down the line, especially when it turned into working hard, playing hard, <cheers>

exactly, its about being 'smart' you cant just go in and do crunching tackles like back in the day
but you can make tactical fouls, use your body in a smart way, to harrass, bully, block etc and not pull out of 50/50s

Most workplaces nowadays have an induction prior to letting you loose, that induction would almost certainly involve manual handling technique and H&S procedures.

You're then put to task, and practice almost certainly doesn't align with theory. This is when you present your TGWU convenors badge and say "**** this mate" I'm off to the pub and I'll pay my rent by credit card this month.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I was a shop steward with the TGWU for 10 years and an F.O.C in the print union many years ago.I've went toe to toe with more managers than some on here have had hot dinners.Workplace practice will never change in the manual workers line of employment, you do it or you don't...My educational acumen, attitude and certification dictated I did.

I wish I had a quid for every course and induction i've been on. When I worked round the Country on new stores, it was the same couple of blokes that did the inductions and after doing a few they just said "you know what's what, here's your badges", joke really.

I'd say it were an issue for us?

I haven't seen too many of the dross opponents we've come up against this season running away from a battle or a tackle...Hence our lowly league standing.

Now that the dust is settling, my twopenny worth, for what it is worth. Sad time, but the right decision for all parties...Especially for Tim. Can't help but think he was sold a load of bollocks, back in May. Not sure how the bloke was supposed to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, with the tools and resources he had been given. Down to the brains trust is that one. Bit of an example of a poison chalice. I can't see any boss worth his salt jumping at the chance to manage HCAFC, yes, they'll be someone, but not sure if there will be any major improvement in both and short or long term. I hope there is. Who wants League One football at the MKM? We'll be a tick for loads of feckers.
