Im not saying overseas managers can’t work - like the examples you gave, but when your 16 games in and in the relegation zone - the last thing you want is someone who needs a bit of time to adapt to the language/culture/league.

And Sunderland and Norwich ARE now struggling.. Norwich just had first win in 6 or 7 and Sunderland no wins in just as long.

Listening to RH Sport.... seems that TW was NEVER in a position to influence recruitment. Also from what there saying, whoever comes in will have to work under that climate. Limits whoo might come..?

We went after Meffert, signed Mehlem just like Rosenior wanted Connolly and others.

Of course managers have a say in recruitment and have a veto if the recruitment team are recommending someone he doesn't want.

It's just it's a committee process the manager is a part of, as opposed to having sole control of.

And it's the case at most clubs nowadays.

I detest stuff like this. The Leicester players celebrating in Copenhagen after Cooper got sacked was really cringe and loathsome. The public digs at Rangnick by Man Utd players like Lingard and others were really distasteful as well. I really can’t stand modern footballers as people and I wouldn’t give the steam off my piss to most of City’s players right now.
