These kinds of strikers always seem to get pushed out wide - less physical, faster ones. There's some logic to it but then the team always ends up crying out for pace up front, and you think well they had that but they converted him to a winger.

It's pretty clear that some of the players really didn't like Walter. He obviously had a deliberately unusual attitude which he thought would be successful. He talked about his touchline antics being deliberate and how he wouldn't stop it. He also talked about how we needed to be able to criticise ourselves to improve. Again there is some logic but clearly some players were fed up of just being criticised, and if they can't get constructive advice when they ask for it then that's quite ridiculous - though I'm sure Walter would argue there's another side to that story. Regardless, it is an unusual approach and there's a reason for that.

He can work in some circumstances
But every player is different, good man management adapts to them
Some players want 1 on 1 and an arm around their shoulder
Some players need constant arse kickings
    Etc

Bruce was a master at it, probably learnt from fergie

Walter seems to be one way and if you dont like it, youre **** out of luck

And if you win games, the bad stuff can be swept to one side.. but when results are bad, the bad stuff is magnified

Similar to how he was with fans
He was just unlikeable, but results could make you forget it..
    If results are bad.. well

Lots of pinches of salt needed. Didn't speak to Slater for 6 months but picked him to play most games. All these players who claim to be out of their favoured position but it happened under previous managers too, why don't they go and sort it with the coach manager or boss.

Yep, back to just normal football. The squad, particularly when obvious weaknesses are addressed again in January, are plenty good enough for mid table minimum. And we have depth (baring a ridiculous injury crisis appearing - hoping not to temp fate).

Wasn't it the same with Rosie and some players went to see Tan or Acun about not getting played or played in the wrong place?

Rubbish. They could have pinned him down. Players find a time to pin the manager down and then complain to their agent if they don't like the outcome. This is complete horse ****

Tyler mortons brother said he couldnt understand why rosie was sacked
So while morton apparently went to tan
He must have thought highly of him

Yes they did, players also did it with Tim. It's unfortunately the sign of the times we live in imo..... Players tried to talk to LR but he wasn't Interested so went above his head and the same happened with Tim, although I'm not sure they tried to talk to Tim first this time

Ah, it's the usual stabbing of the body after it's already a corpse. Easy to lay all blame on the man given the boot. I'd rather hear the players, or their leaks, talk more constructively and positively about the future and how they're going to fix it under a new manager.

Sometimes this shows the disconnect of a head coach and a manager. Bar Mahlem which of these players did Tim actually want?

Not that I I’m disappointed he has been sacked. I can’t think of a manager I’ve liked the least at this club.

Think pinning down is more aligned with WWE tbf, if ya get one suggesting the manager didn't communicate with then ya think its bollox, two ? Maybe sour grapes, but think as it stands at the minute there's 3 saying and others who are playing the diplomatic card. There's obviously been a clear lack of communication.

That was unfounded rumours/gossip from those “ITK” with “anonymous” sources.

It did garner some attention though.

Interesting comments about Burstow being maybe too lightweight for a CF but I don't think that's really an issue if he's playing with freedom and getting goals. Bedia certainly isn't lightweight and plays accordingly. I haven't written Pedro off yet and he could be an excellent sub option. We need better in the window coming up that's for sure.

I wouldn't mind but Slaters old man has got the biggest gob of any players dad I know. He will be on here. Why didn't he speak out for his little boy?

Professional clubs have a mountain of staff to raise concerns with, not least the man we are currently pinning our hopes on. Do people really belive Slater wouldn't have been able to speak to Dawson even if Tim was too busy playing Tetris to talk to him?

As someone pointed out he was involved in virtually every game under Walter, are we really meant to believe he didn't speak to him during that whole period?

It's horse ****, coming about because people want to blame someone who can't fight back. The issues didn't leave with Tim and we will find that out soon enough.

Slater’s dad deleted his Twitter account shortly after we lost 3-1 to Wednesday last season at their place because Wednesday fans ripped the piss out of him and Regan.

I agree though. Walter was a catastrophic experiment by the club and it failed. The players can’t hide behind his inadequacies anymore though. There are certain players in the squad who are poor footballers, unprofessional and have big egos, or a mixture of all three.
