With respect - it all depends upon how you define 'success' and what degree of success you will settle for. Success in football can be measured in many ways and an individual's tolerance levels will vary from another's.
None of us are likely to have the same views on what we should expect to achieve in a given season, but we should all be realistic in the way we express our ideals. Sadly, too many here tend to deliberately polarize everything in such a way as to get a reaction that leads to an out and out fight. Something I always fall for I'm sorry to say
I love AFC and I want us to do better than we have done for the last 7 years. We are a top 4 team which is something everyone apart from the other regular top 3 teams would give their right arm to be. In stating that I am pleased to be a top 4 team does not mean I am happy to settle for just that (as some would claim about me and others of a similar view). It does not mean that I am happy to settle for top 4 without trophies. It does not mean that I think we have an excellent squad and faultless management team either. It means what it means, that we are a top 4 team and that that is quite an achievement in itself. No more, no less.
I do not claim to know who is to blame as some here do, but whoever or whatever is the cause for our just falling short time and time again, please sort it out. If the main culprit is lady luck, someone shoot the bitch!
