Despite us getting beaten I absolutely loved the away game at Leyton Orient - never seen so many inflatables in one place at the same time, proper carnival atmosphere it was! And it helped them stay up which I was happy about so it was one occasion I really didn't mind ending up on the losing side. I loved that season as well, though I guess winning and dominating matches week in, week out probably didn't hurt too much <ok>

went to Wycombe after MK, then released, now at macclesfield in the Conference but hasn't played this year. Oh dear.

Oh i know there is a waiting list, but it's a 4 year course so time is on my side. Plus manage to get to about 4 home games a season as super member, but reason so little because live in Northampton and it's a long trip. I prefer away games atmosphere to be fair.

You'll stand a good chance of getting a season ticket at some time during your course then. Yes, living in Norhtampton does give you better access to the midlands and the North where a lot of the matches are. The atmosphere at CR is great, but love away games as well and will have to get better organise next season to go to more away games.
 
Yeovil away was some game. They got what looked like a last minute winner only for Gary Doc to slip one in the corner in injury time. Good times.

In Championship it was good as we had Forest, Leicester and Coventry all fairly nearby. Also drew MK Dons in the cup a couple of times which is handy.

I've found Carrow Road has been disappointing atmosphere wise lately. It's only the Barclay and Snakepit who sing a song, the rest of the stadium you are surrounded by moaners who can't tell the difference between Carl Cort and Jamie Cureton. Seriously I once had someone sitting behind me who was having a go at Jamie Cureton but calling him Carl Cort. Think that was Jarrold.
 
Best game of L1?

For me sitting in the home end of Colchester away. Chrissy Martin almost made me get my head kicked in, I tried to stay in my seat but the next think I knew I was up and jumping around like a fool!

And when I turned around people were swearing at me and one guy tried to get me kicked out. He was an arsehole sitting with his 7 year old kids and ffffing and blinding away.
 
I was explaining to my Brentford supporting friend how much I enjoyed league 1, maybe it was because it really couldn't have got any worse than the year before or the regular wins with decent score lines but it was good fun. Beating Southend with a last minute Oli Johnson goal was a highlight as it was just as we were securing an automatic spot with Leeds and Charlton on our tails if I remember correctly. It seemed a huge goal at the time.

League One was ace - so many good memories and so much good banter with the opposition fans - all genuine supporters who loved their club - no prawn sandwich part-time johnny go lately fans there - genuine pie and peas fans.

The Oldham game was the one I remember most when their fans started singing "All we are saying is give us a shot" to the tune of The Ono Band's "Give Peace a Chance" - that was hilarious.

It was a cathartic experience in League One and I remember at the time saying it would be a positive pivotal moment in the club's history - and so it was.
 
Ah, the great days of League 1... <laugh> I remember making the trip to Walsall, only for the game to get called off 50mins before kick off! Old school oil drums never seemed to do the trick <laugh>

I was one of the lot that went to the re-arranged fixture on a cold Tuesday evening and 2 goals in the last 5mins to win us the match... We went absalutely bonkers <laugh>

I think you'll find student life doesn't give you that much spare money for a season ticket, unless you have rich parents! Especially in second/third year when you have to live off campus so will need things like a bus pass and to pay for your own heating! Trust me, I'm going through it all right now.
 
It's all about how you prioritise. A season ticket (well, the last time I bought one), isn't too different in cost to a gym membership, or possibly your bus pass. If you're prepared to accept a 45-60min walk to and from uni, in return for a season ticket, that's a call you have to make.

Hmmm - a bike is a good option, as bus service in Norwich can be quite sporadic.
Bus pass around £200 a year and a season ticket around £500. I know some people who buy a season ticket between say 4 fans, draw lots for the big teams (NOT including AVFC in that list) and then pick and choose which other games they get to go and watch. Works for them, but not saying it's for everyone.
