Bart had a run of two months in the first team between November 2009 and January 2010 (as Kelvin was injured), he started 8 games in a row and made a very good impression.

Kelv hasnt done anything to lose his place. One more season at least!

Love Bart all the same and wish he could teach Kelv a little about kicking and quick distribution :p

It was still a year and a half ago, a lot can change in a year and a half. And why didn't he keep that starting spot, if the impression he made was so good?

League One team of the year can't be argued with. Super Kelvin Davis had a great season and deserves to keep his place. We are incredibly lucky, though, to have Bart waiting in the wings.

I know this isn't the place for this debate, but we probably need a new third-choice keeper in the event of either Kelv or Bart picking up an injury. Tommy Forecast just isn't up to it.

I'm amazed by the number of people thinking Bart should start against Leeds. As for who will be first choice at the end of the season that's a harder one to call. All depends on Kelvin's form and I'm not able to see into the future.

And he's been at Southampton and training with the squad for how long? We may not have seen a lot of him, but I bet Adkins knows exactly how good he is.

I bet he does, which surely raises questions as to why he hasn't once been selected ahead of Kelv in a game that matters?

Kelv gives that added dimension though - his experience and leadership, that's why Adkins plays him. None of us know what happens behind the scenes either, I for one, think that Kelv plays a big part, he is the club captain after all!

I expect MUCH better from someone contracted as a professional player that has played competitively in the League Cup this season. I couldn't give a flying **** if he hasn't played a league game. The guy couldn't even do the standard basics to keeping. Pathetic.

It's called nervs, playing in the league cup means **** all. The league is a different kind of pressure, specially how pur away form is. Makes the nervs even worse.

So get someone in who handles pressure better. (Obviously this isn't possible at the moment, outside of the transfer/loan windows)

We need too i've been saying for some time, he has played second fiddle for to long. This has ruined him mentally, he is always nervous when he plays. Could be because he is trying to hard to impress or that he just can't cope with the nervs. It's a shame because he started of a good keeper but lack of playing over many years has ruined him.

I'm sorry he may not have played much but to make a basic mistake such as not closing his legs and get his body behind the ball is inexcusable , Bart is a professional footballer not someone who plays Sunday league
With regards to loan you can bring a keeper in as it is a specialist position and the fact we had no keeper on the bench is a good enough reason to get someone in
