Should Saints draw 1-1 with Coventry on Saturday, and West Ham beat Hull 3-0, what happens?

Level on points, goals scored and goals against.
Head-to-head?

If two or more Clubs have the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored the highest placed Club shall be determined by the respective League records against each other, taking into account in order of precedence, points gained, goal difference and goals scored. If the above procedures do not separate the Clubs, then the Clubs concerned shall play off a deciding League Match or Matches under arrangements approved by the Board on a neutral ground.

According to this.

So we'd win on head-to-head.

Wonder where the play-off would have been held though, and who would have won...

Edit: Maybe Reading!?

Assuming they take geography into things, then were this hypothetical situation to happen, then yes I'd suggest either the Mad Stad or the Amex.

I should hope so. Wembley might have been a fitting venue but it's a bit near West Ham for my liking!

Presumably the clubs must agree? I guess we'll never know.

Remote chance. 4-0, I believe. Other factors then come into play, all of which Saints are superior.

Not too remote. We draw 1-1, West Ham win 3-0 (or 2-2, and 4-1; 3-3 and 5-2 etc), then it goes down to head-to-head.

Could someone tell me what will happen if we thump Coventry 6-0, and West Ham do whatever the hell they like?
