I always thought we wouldn't sell our allocation, I think most City fans will think we will probably win, as do I (I hope I don't curse it) so although it will be a great day out there will most likely be another trip only a few weeks away for the final.
Also I got my ticket by downloading/emailing the PDF form, I wasn't overly happy putting all my credit card details inc CSC number too, not the safest transaction procedure!

You've got to wonder how that mammoth amount of fans expects to get a final ticket. Mass demand and short supply, you only get around 20k tickets.
So they're not going to the semi because they think we'll get to the final and will just go there instead, but they won't get a ticket, so they just won't go at all.

Well, that would be interesting. We have sold more tickets for the semi-final than are available for the final. It would be interesting to see a season card holder who didn't or couldn't go to the semi-final not get a ticket because priority went to someone who had got a ticket because they had been to a couple of games or even no games as they got a ticket off someone who got 2 tickets or got one on general sale.
The thing that should be of concern is the lack of interest in tickets for such an historic occasion.
The club made such a mess of the allocation and ordering system, its not surprising it hasn't sold out.
Having said that our attendances have been pretty poor all season, nearly half our home games failed to sell out and we've been failing to sell out reduced away allocations, shame when we're having our best ever season.

Tough luck to the pass holder in that situation, those that have supported the team through the cup run should get priority.
Well i thought we wouldn't sell out simply because when we got through i knew with the attitude of some of the fans i know that many thought we had a great chance so would wait for the final, i think if we had drawn another premier club we would have sold out how ever we haven't so who ever is going you have got to be twice as loud enjoy the day and help get the lads to the final. To me and i think every fan who go's like Sheffield utd THIS IS OUR FINAL treat it that way and we have a great chance

Since the move to the KC we've had 4 promotions, 2 Wembley appearances (inc Sunday), a first FA Cup SF in living memory and 3 years in the top flight.
People get used to success and the shine comes off in time.
If we'd have been in Sheff Utd shoes, eg a League 1 team that had been in the doldrums for a decade we would have sold our 32k tickets no problem.

Yes, someone whose only game this season has been the semi-final should get precedence over someone who shelled out money for a season in advance. Maybe the club should issue season cards stating no preference will be given for cup games, that will go to people who have seen a cup game and just one will do.
The thought that someone who was gone to Wembley for a semi-final but wasn't at the Sunderland game or games like Swansea and West Brom should get preferential treatment is laughable.
Regardless of what system the club used, if there's still all these tickets left then no one should go without if they want one.

All regional FA's get a ticket allocation for the FA Cup final, it's to reward them for all the work they do for grass roots football.
Yes, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal etc always have difficulty selling tickets to their complacent fans, don't they?
It is an embarrassment although it hasn't been helped by our owners,or the lack of publicity by the club and the local media in building the game up. There was more in the HDM about semi-finals where the RL clubs took 7,000 fans all the way to Huddersfield.
I would bet that similar sized clubs to ourselves, Norwich, Leicester, Derby, Southampton etc would have sold out straight away.
You have to ask given the apathy about what the club is called, the negativity of so many of the population, the lack of support in the local media or on the local rugby league biased council, does the city of Hull deserve a successful top flight team? Other places would be a lot more enthusiastic, the people and the media, than Hull is.
