The problem is, we take the decision to do something like switching to automated ticket sales, but don't first implement decent systems to accomadate that switch.

Not being able to buy multiple tickets on the self service machine makes it ****ing useless for most people, unless we're only targeting fans with no mates.

Is that definitely correct, it seems mental?

The second sentence will explain why Chazz is happy with the system.

What I can't understand is why they put the ticket machine in the club shop next to the ticket office?

Why not put it in the club shop in Prospect Centre, so people can pop in an buy tickets "in town" rather than having to go all the way to the KC?
Also easy for people working in town to get them in their lunch break??

Or how about TWO machines, one at each shop????

If I had time I could think of new things for all the shops..........
So from not wanting a ticket machine to we should have two!! <laugh>
Still its summat else to moan at

We are witnessing evolution in real time. Hull man has mastered using a bar code to gain entry to the ground now man is mastering the purchasing of tickets without speaking to anyone.

Darwin would have been ecstatic
If only that HAD been mastered... got stuck behind a guy at the the last match trying to scan the wrong side of a pass!

just been to get my ticket for saturday and i asked the guy why i couldn't get the ticket on monday.
he said what others on here have said.
they want people to purchase tickets online or ticket machine.
i said what if people don't have a card he just shrugged his shoulders.
so if you don't have a card you have to wait a few more days to get one from the ticket office and have a chance of not sitting with family or friends.
if you can get it two more days later you should be able to get it from the ticket office when ever.

It may have something to do with handling cash & banking it? Just a thought!

I'm all for the ticket machines...just need to be in right place.
The more the merrier, given our links to local companies like the KC, why not have one in telephone house reception, or one at MKM builders reception on Stoneferry Road, giving people access right across the city.....
Or pick local retailers like the ones that do click and collect for internet shopping to have a terminal.
More access to tickets = more potential customers.
Admittedly some initial costs, but FFS in the grand scheme of things we may as well owe the silly old bugger 85m instead of 84m

Do you actually believe this is a good idea though ? Or do you just defend everything done by the club ?
Of course it is. You order it online and print off. Simple. At the moment you can go in and pick it up as well, that'll probably stop next season.
Or
you can go in and use a ticket machine. I imagine the club wants it all done online eventually. Its progress. Or would you rather have half a dozen staff sat twiddling their thumbs 6 days a week and working a day out of the 6 selling tickets?

Are you another one that knows thousands of people who dont have the internet/debit/credit cards and only use cash for everything.
