went to ticket office yesterday to get ticket for a friend for saturday.and was told i couldn't get one till wedensday.
iv'e just seen on another thread that you can get one online or from a ticket machine.
so why couldn't i get one from our ticket office,
what's the point in having office if you can't buy a ticket.

They're trying to get everyone to buy online, to be fair, you can buy online and print at home, or buy them in the club shop, it's not difficult.

This is what happens when you have a marketing genius in charge. Have you seen his CV?

Of course less astute people could well think this is what happens when the person in charge thinks the fans are irrelevant and can die when they want.
 
he did say i could get one online or ticket machine but never said i could get it that day.
i was there at the ticket office so how hard would it of been to sell me a ticket from a ticket office.

Not everyone is, even nowadays, online and a lot people with the internet access don't have a printer.
I would have thought it would be a good idea to make it as easy as possible, for as many as possible, to purchase the product as cheaply as possible. But I don't have the marketing genius of our chairman.

id'e get it if you have to buy it online or ticket machine only.
but you can buy it from ticket office on wedensday.
seems a mad way to get a ticket to me.

By next season you wont be able to. It caught me out the other week.

You're right, its seems bizarre that in an office with the infrastructure to sell tickets and members of staff on duty that they choose not to sell tickets. It would have taken less than a minute of their time, job done. Instead they send the person away annoyed and probably a little confused, questioning if they can bothered to buy a ticket at all.

I don't. But others do. So, you are online and don't have a printer, or the printer isn't working, and you can't get to the stadium during working hours or live out of town? What are the options for buying a ticket? Would there be ways of making it easier for people?

I still don't understand not selling on the turnstiles on match day. Presumably its to save money, but they only need one maybe two member of staff on the gates, given the price of the tickets they'd only have to sell one or two extra and its paid for the staff already.

For home games it's not an issue, as you can buy online and collect it at the ground immediately before the game, or just buy a ticket from the ticket office or from the ticket machine immediately before kick-off.

For away games, you can buy by phone or online, but if you can't collect them in office hours or live out of town, then you need to do it in time to have the tickets posted to you (unless like tonight, it's pay on the gate).

Not selling tickets in the ticket office on a Tuesday, for a home game on a Saturday seems really stupid, but It's really not that difficult to get a ticket.

Of course in those primitive days when you could just turn up you had scenes like this on a Thursday afternoon before a 7.30 pm kick off.

Its just preparing people for next season, doing it gradually, its really not difficult to understand unless you just want to be an awkward **** like Castro.

I really dont know, but I'd be stunned if the guy who owns the company was involved with the final decision about where and how tickets are bought.
