Been told to keep my eye out for Gordon Elliotts ***AN, when he makes his rules debut. Was a very good pointer.

Perth 5.30 ***AN 2/1
As above, I think he'll be too good for these.

Danz Gift 12/1 (Ladbrokes) Cork 3.35 - Sheila Lavery's 4 y-o is winless in 12 so far but there has been signs that a win is near. He races off 61 again tomorrow and is definitely capable off this mark, Donnacha O'Brien lessens the burden another 5lb and if he breaks well he can go close for his first victory under rules.

A couple I'm interested in at Newmarket, seeing as how I've got money back off them in recent times ( not a regular occurrence ).

Bathos 2.35
Tasleet 3.40

Also interested in Jan van Hoof, 4.00 @Pontefract and Spennithorne, 6.15@Chelmsford.

Now the conundrum - which one for my hard earned pennies ?

Si J.

Bit of money for Falcao in the first at Cork,2s still available, Lyman yard in decent form.

A horse that should be in everyone's notebook for fences Cyrus Darius makes his seasonal appearance at Perth at 3.20. It's not a betting proposition at 2/13 in a 3 runner field but he should be contesting the top novice races over the big sticks this season and could be a force to be reckoned with.

Fabre isn't over for the day trip, he's here to lay down the law to these upstarts.

3.40 Newmarket Lawmaking 3/1
Not sure why he's over here Bob. Could be a scouting mission. He appears to have no 2yos entered in any of the major races over here or in any of next year's early classics. Not sure what 2yos he does have but if he does have something decent running in France this will give him some idea of what he's up against whilst having a fair chance of picking up a prize. Prefer Tasleet myself but I'm out of form at this time of year.

Miss En Rose looked overpriced off a fair looking mark of 80 entering handicap company on just 3rd start. Up next at Pontefract

Should be demoted, from the head on carried the other horse right across the track. Only because I left it out of the Placepot but covered the other 2 :)

Danz Gift is frustrating yet again broke okay but pulled back into last, was making progress and got squeezed for room and finished close up in 6th beaten about 2 lengths in total. I think he will need to come down a few lbs and get quicker ground before I am tempted again.

Well done Beefy. I was looking at the Irish racing site on mobile and computer and they were stating he was still with Ferguson, that's where I got confused last night. Smart acquisition for the Elliot yard again.

A huge monster of a horse who was pretty raw today and lost a shoe at the water jump, which I'm sure was the reason for his deteriorating jumping on the second circuit. Definitely one with serious potential though, one to keep an eye on this winter although I seem to think we've said that about 1 or 2 of Malcolm Jefferson's in recent years ......................

Jim Crowley certainly in form currently so just decided to have two big each way bets on his remaining rides tonight and hope for the best.
8.15 TIJUCA 28-1. £20 E/W
8.45 BEYOND ARGUMENT 66-1 £20 E/W

I didn't realise he lost a shoe Oddy. I wasn't concerned to much with the run today as long as he got around in one piece, he should learn an awful lot and the fact he won and beat a useful Shadow Catcher is a bonus. Fully agree with the comment about Jefferson though, tread carefully Is the word of warning. Been one too many of his who have looked above normal only to flatten out in the top contests.
