Hull City's backroom team undergoes summer overhaul ahead of the new season

Three key figures have departed the KCOM Stadium for challenges elsewhere

Hull City’s backroom team is undergoing an enforced summer overhaul following the departures of three influential figures from the KCOM Stadium.

Rob Price, City’s long-serving head of medicine and performance, has left to join Leeds United, along with Ruben Crespo, the club’s leading fitness coach.

It is understood Mark Waller, the Tigers’ team doctor since 2013, is also due to join Rangers ahead of the new season.

Price’s exit is perhaps the most significant. The experienced figure joined from Liverpool in 2012 and was known to be a trusted ally of vice chairman Ehab Allam.

Price has confirmed he is now part of Marcelo Biesla’s backroom team at Elland Road after beginning work for Leeds yesterday.

Waller will also leave a void to be filled at the KCOM Stadium after first arriving five years ago. Having previously worked with Steven Gerrard during his 17 years as Liverpool’s team doctor, he is following the Reds legend north of the border to Ibrox.

Waller was credited with making key decisions when Ryan Mason suffered his career-ending head injury in City’s trip to Chelsea in January 2017.

Overhaul? Is that a new word to describe mass defections?

Not enough ****ing players backroom staff leaving in threes at what point do the FA step in.
Its a ****ing disgrace what is happening to our club and the ****s don't even try and pretend it's anything different than a vindictive attempt to destroy Hull City AFC

Good old HDM, a summer overhaul of medical staff, makes it sounds like it’s positive and led by the club. Would have preferred the headline ‘ 3 more have ****ed off and we wonder why ?’. It’s got honesty and irony in equal parts..

When is deadline day for non-playing staff? There isn't one? Guess we will be employing replacements within 24hrs then.

That sounds more like the old Happy, next you'll be wondering why people think you defend the Allams
Im not defending anyone.

It's the old "there's plenty of things to whine about with our club and the owners but...", this is just normal ****ing business, and frankly the posts about it are embarrassing and serve no purpose other than to make the people making bold statements about how it is working with our owners look like soppy ****s.

This the medical team you lot have called **** out of for years for signing injured players and having a **** record at bringing players back too soon etc etc?? Tee hee.

I'll wait and see who nige brings in. He'll want his own men.

Not mentioned in the original article, is our physio Stuart Leake, who left a couple of months ago and Luke Cash (Press Officer), who's leaving in a couple of weeks.

That's in addition to Tom Rowell (Communications Mananger), James Mooney (Communications Manager), Simon King (Commercial Manager), Ben Milhench (Head of Partnerships) and others that I've forgotten.

Lee Darnbrough? Please please please say its Lee Darnbrough who you have forgotten has left!!!

I knew you were full of **** happy.

I don't mind, you're entitled to your (wrong) opinions, but don't try to pretend you're on of us. You're one of them.

Clique application denied.
Cliques?

**** em.

I plough my own furrow.

None of this lot were around when we signed Bullard, they're all Allam appointments.

Adkins will probably be appointed Physio...

Having been at leaving do's for some of those listed above, I can assure you that it's you that looks the soppy ****.

Which is ironic, as the word '****' was used a lot in relation to working for Ehab.

He’ll want them in before preseason starts 2019/2020. More realistic targets for him now.

Yet they worked with him for some time.

What's it say above, seen as an Allam trusted ally?

So happy to take the coin, and cosy up, whilst being all "yeah was terrible, they're ****s" when they leave? After 5 years? 6 years?

Classy.

Not surprised you got invited.

I've absolutely no idea what the 'Allam trusted ally' says, I've never met the bloke, nor have I met any of the medical staff, but many of the other departing staff thought Ehab was a **** and hated working for him, as do several of those who are still there. Though none of them say the same of Assem.
