Get rid of the Cricket thread - it's ****. If I wanted to discuss Cricket I'd be on a cricket form or on the cricket board on here.

A very close 2nd passion to me after football is Reggae muisc and Caribbean culture - But I wouldn't dream of starting a thread about that on a Liverpool FC Board. I use a different forum completely for that, which I go on at some point most days, and it is nearly as busy as not606.

So I have to say I'm with Hash on this one. Although, I think a couple of the threads are useful like the movie thread and the pub.

But the cricket and F1 etc. threads should be moved to where they belong. (the bin <whistle>)

No. No way. If you're going to start binning specific OT threads then they all have to go, can't make exceptions just because you prefer certain ones to others. That would mean every thread on here would have to be directly related to LFC which would make the place incredibly boring. For example, I've been nowhere near that 'Mafia' thread but if they want to play the game in there then let em play, just don't go on the thread, however I enjoy the F1 and tv/movie threads so ditching those would mean I visit the forum less. Ditching threads others enjoy would mean they visit less. It's that simple. That cricket thread is a bag of ****e though. <laugh>

Ech thread fingered here has a minority of lfc not 606 users using them.. if they didn't they would not be on the baord... simple.

eg cricket has about 4 users. and 4/5 laughers who post the same tripe but wouldn't miss the chance every game to post so...

how many has music? 2/3? yet nobody seems to go for it and its been stickied since i joined not 606

F1 is not stickied and prob has 3/4 users

movies prob has 6/7 users

the pub is open to all.

In short its quite simple people want all their interested together with their few kindred spirits. yes they can go to the f1 board if one exists or the cricket on but its as easy just have a laugh here than move off lfc board.

I 'd love to know who you guys think will replace this stuff.... threads like this saying its boring....

if you want soemthing dream up the content you want.... how many here have come up with something.... the forum needs content so if not all content suits you fine but there's no lack of football ones to use if you work on it.

I started a thread about fungus <whistle>:p

I go on the F1 board sometimes, but I like the bants with the posters in the thread on this board who don't ever go in the F1 area.

Like I said, if there's a cricket thread there's a cricket thread, let them have one, but that can't stop me from going on there calling it an old man's sport for those with mental disabilities. <laugh>

For me, every 6 months or so this board has a mid life crisis. OT threads ALWAYS gets brought up.

You miserable, pedantic old gits <laugh> Don't even ****ing worry about it! We're all actively here therfore the forum is kushty. We still need some fit lesbians but that's a different matter altogether.

Liv, Tobes, UIR all make the forum what it is and it wouldn't be as interesting without any of them, I love reading Tobes drunken assaults and Livtors flurry of adjectives or even UIRs ridiculous propaganda.

You do realise mods don't get paid? It's voluntary so cut them some ****ing slack it's not their fault they're spineless.

Sisu - Keep on doing what you're doing
Liv - Keep teaching me words
Tobes - I love you
UIR - You're a boss.

Greez = Top, top mod.

Now cheer up! ****ing international breaks, this happens every time <laugh>

You're cheery for just before 9am on a Sunday. How's the love life? You find a girlfriend or something?

I work today too <yikes> Had a bird briefly but knocked her on the head as she was weird. Start uni next week so all is cheery in the world.

I told gerrez yesterday that this thread was nothing personal and mainly divilment as I was bored. But it has taken on a life of its own and some people have valid points such as one I made myself too. If you dont like a thread dont click on it.

I've never read the cricket, f1 or any of the england ones or the cheese thread. It doesnt mean I should complain them and have them moved or shut down because I former mod, ex supermod and not606 stalwart dont like them. Obviously some people like them or theyd not be on the first page.

Same goes for the gaza thread though. Just because someone didnt like it doesnt mean it should be moved. It sets a slippery slope for the forum and for the mods because every **** on here isnt going to like every thread on here. So do we remove each thread someone doesnt like and be left with 100% lfc threads ?

Then some people wont like some of the lfc threads as theyll feel different e.g joe allen is ****. A joe fan will want it removed.

We'll be left with a thread about results and a thread of predictions and maybe a match thread. Thatll be fun.

My genuine (I started piss taking) feelings are if the thread isnt promoting racism, picking on one particular poster or something illegal that can be used to bring unnecessary attention to the site a la the "rape gallery" then it should stay and the dont click dont read principle be used.

They tend to be. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Happy ploughing at uni, as is your natural masculine right to do, remember to bag it and tag it (unless/until you're aiming at mouth, face, tits or back <ok>)

Tis true. Maybe its the title but I cant be bothered reading about cheese. Cheese goes on my burger or in my sandwich. Thread over. Unless of coure the title is a ploy to keep people out and its great fun in there but ill never know.

It'll blow your mind, change your life and is the way forward for all threads on this board.

If you're not taking the piss you really should have a look as it's a window on the world that thread and certainly nothing to do with cheese.

Very enjoyable read lads <laugh>

I'd ignore the Canadian cock though, we've got one on our board too unfortunately ;)

I'll give it a look later. If ye are lying I shall tell mick to ban ye for posting links that are questionable <ok>

This forum the last time I looked was a football forum for posting about Liverpool and things related to LFC. I like many don't mind a bit of slack about the threads. For example it is nice to have some light hearted threads about jokes from time to time. However we ought to have some basic rules.

This is a football forum first and foremost. I have seen "serious" posts that are not even related to sport FFS never mind football or even Liverpool.

1. The first no-no is the political thread, with a capital P. Why would any one tolerate a thread about Gaza for example? Why do we assume that Liverpool supporters take a certain political position on this or would even want to discuss this? Why discuss this at all here and create a tension when none is absolute necessary. It is the height of arrogance to think that " my political stance is so interesting or valid that my fellow football posters/on line mates might want to discuss it."

As soon as an overt poltical, (non football and non Liverpool) thread appears it should be closed down straightaway. All without exception to avoid shouts of favouritism. I think we could get a high degree of agreement on that.

2. Nxt, is the non football such as formula one or cricket. Yes, the argument is that these can be ignored by non F1 or cricket fans. But why put it here in the first place? lets assume there are a dozen posters who are interested in F1 or cricket. These dozen will be happy to discuss their stuff on a separate board. The only reason any one would post an F1 or cricket thread on a football forum is some sort of vanity. Sorry if that sounds harsh. "I want to post my views on F1 where the audience could potentially number dozens rather than in single figures because even non F1 followers could find it interesting...

If it is supposed to be ignored by non F1 or cricket fans then why is it on a football board then??

3. Completely Non-sport related threads. Why have a music thread in a football board?? again it does not make sense. yes it will be a thread used a few dedicated committed fans. But why put it here? if a new post dies a death elsewhere then it means that very few people are interested anyway. BUT in its favour at least it is only one thread and does not clog up the first page.

OK. Just my view.
