At least mince pies can be eaten any time, we had Christmas puddings with a November sell-by date <steam>
 
We have a shop in Weston selling all the old fashioned sweets, they are not allowed to call the original "Old English" humbugs by that name as it has been deemed "racist!"

Are Humbugs Black with a White stripe or White with a Black Stripe? Its important for the evolution of multiculture within Britain.
