Chelsea "furious with United". A cash offer was made with NO players included. I believe an official statement is imminent.

"With Mata, I need to get to know him better. I like sometimes to play with what I call 'wingers with the wrong foot' – right-footed men on the left and left-footed men on the right. He is the only left-footed player we have when we want to play with a winger on the right side, but the competition is hard. We will have Schurrle, De Bruyne, Mata, Oscar, Hazard and Moses for these three positions and so we have many more options than Chelsea had in the last year. These are crucial positions for me. I like these players to play with high intensity so to have five players for three positions is, I think, brilliant for me. It's fantastic."

Regardless of whether the rumours are true or not, he's singled out Mata, listed six players for three positions, and says he needs five.

Tho' it is a Mourinho press conference, so maybe he just wanted to stir the pot.

Whilst I understand what you mean, our out and out strikers have struggled individually, but as a team we've just had our highest scoring season ever so whilst we lost Drogs we clearly gained in other areas.

Know what you mean CP, we too often played to our strikers as if Drogba was still up front. Torres and Ba are just not strong enough back to goal as a lone striker, though both look heaps better when running on to the rare through ball from our midfield. That needs some thought for next season.
