http://www1.skysports.com/football/...elsea-have-a-bid-for-Wayne-Rooney-turned-down You'll probably get him because as you know you just buy whoever you want and the best players Do you think he'd fit in well with your team? I think he'd do well with how Jose will have you playing But you can only play 11 so where will your 100's of other attackers play?
We offered either Luiz or Mata as part of a trade. I am not happy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23342660
Actually I reckon this is quite a smart move. Properly unsettle Rooney, force him to transfer request. I doubt the swop is actually a serious move, just like the Arsenal bid for Suarez. It's all about the image.
Which Rooney will you get though? The one with win at all cost attitude (has he lost that? Moyes said he was training really well) or the one who whinges at his team mates all the game because hes playing ****
Gone from quite excited about this potential move to shocked and disappointed in a matter of seconds. How the **** can the club justify offering Luiz or Mata plus cash?!?!!? Both players would be worth at least what Rooney is, are the future of the club and should not be let go at any cost, certainly not to facilitate a move for an older player, on much higher wages who had a pretty poor season last year (especially compared to Mata and Luiz). Absolutely gutted if this is true.
Getting a lot of stories coming out. Mata and Luiz are only rumours, and from what I hear it was actually a £16m straight cash bid. I dot think players are involved. (Here's hoping).
Let's hope so. Literally the only rationale I can come up with is that we are blessed at number 10 with Mata, Oscar and Hazard all able to play there. We have also just bought a winger who could replace Hazard if he was moved to '10'. Jose may just feel a better attacker is more important than another player at '10'. Personally I'd rather keep Mata and the forwards we have. Mata off RVP would be devastating.
I'd rather sell Oscar if anyone. Think we all need to just put logic in place, there's no doubt United would've accepted the offer if it was Mata (best no 10 in the league) AND £10m.
All these rumours about us offering £10mil plus Mata or Luiz are absolute bollocks. We know this cause Rooney is still a United player. United would bite our hands off were it true! It's all lies and the biggest joke of a transfer story i've ever heard. Offer up to £25mil max and if that doesn't work then set our sights on Higuain. But one thing is for sure... Mata ain't going anywhere. He loves the club far too much. Like fark he'd go to one of our rivals.
The Fail have been stirring up the Mata/Luiz thing for weeks and the bid supposedly was player exchange so everywhere reporting the bid is putting 2 and 2 together. Plus I've never seen bids put on official cub sites tbf.
You and me both !!! Just read Jose saying he doesnt want to sell anyone, including Torres, next thing were after the fat bald one and willing to shaft Mata or Luiz ???? Has to be a wind up surely??
Seen it on the BBC site, which normally means that it is not TOTALLY made up. That said, if there is any truth in Mata moving on (especially to another Prem team), then I will be very, very angry Looking at the way he has fitted in at Chelsea, I'm not sure there are many players in the World that come anywhere near him. If we were in for Messi/Ronaldo, then possibly......but we're not, so Mata - stay where you are
No way would you offer just 16mill for Rooney. Can't stand him, but he's worth far more than that. No way would you offer up Mata who had an outstanding season or Luiz, who I don't rate, but your club do. Odds are you've offered 16mill plus some random players to test the water and the press have just jumped to assumptions to make juicy news. Where would Rooney fit in your team anyway? He's more of a number 10 than 9 nowadays which is by far your strongest position...thought you wanted an out and out finisher in the Lewandowski, Cavani or Falcao mould? Not sure the Rooney transfer makes sense...
It makes perfect sense. Rooney at his best was post-Ronaldo playing up top on his own. United bought RVP and now play him out of his best position. He is good at number 10 but in the right team (not a creativeless England side!!) he can excel up top which is where we have struggled post Drogba.
Whilst I understand what you mean, our out and out strikers have struggled individually, but as a team we've just had our highest scoring season ever so whilst we lost Drogs we clearly gained in other areas.
