Well our pint sized Xavi, has been very busy off field too! More than that I dare not say.....................<laugh>

Im not on about Danny leaving im on about laudrup saying before the window opened that he needed a striker....well so much for being able to attract players in it.... that's been firmly put to bed and no mistake...the fact is he messed up and left things too late so much that he panicked on the last day and went for a number of strikers....Now if that is someone who is not that bothered then ill eat my hat.....the club has made a huge blunder whatever any excuse anyone tries to make.....

Dai, can you provide a link to any article where Laudrup has said that "we need a striker" please?
I could be wrong, but this is the first that I've heard of him saying that


Or did he just tell you personally? <laugh>
 
Dai`s right (as always), Laudrup Out.....Laudrup Out........Laudrup Out. Let`s all go and protest at the ground until all the board resign. Load of shysters and dinosaurs, don`t know the first thing about football, absolute joke ... the lot of them.

Once all these jokers and deadwood are gone, we can then have a board of true football fans who will then put in place a manager who knows everything, and I mean everything, about football. ALL HAIL THE SWANS NO. 1 FAN. We are not worthy, we are not worthy.

Then you`ll see us win everything that football has to offer.

The fact is that the club made enquiris about several players. The fact is also that when clubs don't want to sell or to loan out, then what can you do? If you just want another name in the squad, than it's no problem. But the thing about football is that you would want the striker to fit in with the rest of the squad and you want them to have certain qualities. Now, Mr. Laudrup has some criterias that has to be met. That regards to qualities, that the player fits in, price, salary and so on. Mr. Laudrup don't do second rate players and that's why we don't have a new striker. Now surely there will be bought another striker in the summer, that's when you get players at a fair price...

Don't think it has left us weaker to be honest; we needed a striker even when Danny was with us, he hasn't exactly been prolific this season has he. Don't think Laudrup missed the boat either - if a player had been identified who was affordable and fit in with our ethos, then Lauds would have bought him, but he said all along that he was happy with the players he has and would not be getting a player in just for the sake of it.

And as for 'we are angry' - sorry, you don't talk for me or the fans that I have spoken to - we are quite happy with the job Laudrup and the board have done so far this season, last time I looked we were doing quite well. Laudrup will not have his hand forced by the bollocks that is the January transfer window - he will do his shopping in the summer.

I totally understand where you are coming from - a nice new shiny striker would have been nice but it is not the end of the world and I will continue to trust Laudrup and the board to make decisions for the good of the club; they haven't let us down so far this season and I don't think any level headed fan would be angry at them for not spending heavily on a panic buy!

The majority of these clubs are panic buying to help them with their battle against relegation, something which we are and will not be involved with this season and strengthens our position in the summer by adding a really good striker by freeing up the wages and adding a further £5 million to the transfer kitty, so stop moaning and get behind the team and manager for a change <ok>
 
why all of a sudden these clubs are panic buying when it was laudrup himself who stated on more than one occasion that we will need to bring a striker in when the window opens....the fact is he has never dealt with transfers before at his other clubs and he has been caught short and underestimated how tough it is to get players....he messed up big time and its lucky we are where we are or you would all be calling for his head if we were in the relegation battle.....Everyone has been hammering the hammers and we never got close. yes as usual we had plenty of possession but that dont score goals or win games and now we will have to rely on michu and quite frankly even he has not produced anything in the past month or more......I agree with the vast majority that we made a huge blunder and laudrup needs to be kept an eye on when trying for players as he has shown that he dont have the skill other managers have in getting their man...
