Thing with Ampeg is that they're ****in expensive, while Behringer are cheaper and just as good. It's like the difference between Nike and Umbro haha

Aha yes! i was just going to get a combo amp rather than the head and stack, my dad said he'd go halves with me for one i found at 450 quid!
I have a behringer also :) bxl-900 ultrabass. it's not brilliant, was just the first amp i got instead of the ****ty little ones that come in starter packs!

where do you stand on pedals with basses? (no pun intended :bandit:)

Probably his little cameo in Tropic Thunder. He was actually good in that. In a reverse to his usual role he actually threatened to improve the film with his performance rather than hinder it. He and Downey Jr couldn't save it though ... it was ****ed.

What do you reckon?

His role in Magnolia was brilliant, but they reckon it was the closest it came to playing himself..

I quite like pedals....I've got a digitech Stompbox.....creates some fantastic distortion.

Forgot about that one. Don't think i've ever managed to see it all the way through to be fair ... I keep giving up!

You'll wanna keep away from watching Valkyrie. Worst war film ever. I cant watch war films where the Germans dont even speak with a german accent. It just ruins the whole point of the film

loooove pedals. play the guitar too so it's good for all occasions.
i've got a boss ds2, and a modulation pedal

my mates gone nuts with pedals. got delays, flange, chorus, distortion, everything. can create some fantastic noises
if you like crazy pedal noises you should check out a band called The Neat <ok> from Hull. Becoming known for their use of pedals - the guitarists are fantastic.

I'd have to go with Shawshank Redemption again. Boring choice I know, but favourite film and he is one of the main reasons, awesome.

Like you say it is a very tough choice. I had to make a short list of about half a dozen just to be getting on with. Shawshank would've been my second choice. Gone, Baby, Gone my third.

I'll check em out! Cheers mate. I just adore distortion. Some bass in shoegaze could literally give me an erection!

Too late i've already seen it. Not one of the best is it. Another shame because the story of Klaus Von Stauffenberg and the plot to kill hitler was a film that had been crying out to be made for so long and they totally screwed it up. Some good individual performances though but couldn't save it.

So, masturbating to a 16 year old in a closet, and then coming out of it. Isnt dramatic enough for you?

<laugh> You put it like that... not quite a film though, throw in him getting caught, blackmailed and maybe a murder of the blackmailer, and him then going on the run to Thailand with his new life partner and BANG, best seller.

Edit: **** this i'm writing the script!

That film could have been a ****ing masterpiece. The story of Stauffenberg is one thats gripped me since i was 13! A film that does need to be made into a film is the story of Ruth Altbeker Cyprys. A jew from Warsaw who escaped the gas chambers at Treblinka by jumping from the train. The book "A jump for life" is incredible. Its horrendously graphic though.

I should be entitled to at least 40% of the royalties from this up and coming blockbuster!

no one else into Back To The Future then? <whistle>

Haha ... hey spring chicken, you've no doubt watched it as a piece of cinematic history gold. I saw it at the cinema when it first came out and yes it is a great great film.

Whilst thinking about my advancing years I also saw Star Wars at the cinema, tender age of nine years old (maybe 8 can't remember when in the year it came out). Now that was an experience, totally unlike anything I had witnessed before. It was only years later that I started to see all the holes in the plot and the poor direction and the shine started to fade. But I walked out of the cinema like I was walking on air!!

haha yeah. My favourite film ever though. just goes to show you can't beat the classics! it was re-released in the cinemas last year, i didn't get to go see it though, was gutted :( would've loved to see it on the big screen!
same with Star Wars. what an experience that must have been!
