Think it may be time to hit the hay for me as well, have to be up at 6, rain is forecast and I have a half hour walk to work, now i enjoy walking in the rain but then a 10 hour shift in wet clothes :(

Same time tomorrow for the gentleman's club chaps?

Yeah they did have an on and off relationship I think. The Irish one was The Quiet Man. Great film ... one of my favourites. I know the western you mentioned but can't think of the name at the moment.

Yes, the Quiet Man, I seem to remember John Wayne threw her into a river at one stage. Then had a puch up with, I think it was Victor McClagen or something, that went on throughout the village.

Right chaps, I'm feeling a tad squiffy myself so I must retire to bed. I shall hope that the gentlemen's time shall continue long into the night until tomorrow, when we must put up with a whole day of smack talking little scrotums.

PS: If anyone wanted any proof of what I meant in my original post, then this thread has been it. No mongs, no flames, no trolling, just good banter. <ok>

Cheerio.

Night you two <ok>

Chappaz; you were right. This thread and the Portrait one have saved the day's forum...ness.
<ok>

Aah ... you were nearly there mate but close enough to remind me. It was McLintock!

Basically the same storyline as Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew ... something I hadn't realised until the last time I saw it. Good film that ... great chemistry between the Duke and the lovely lady.

Edit: Sorry the McLagen reminded me of the name of the western and totally threw me so my response bore no relation to your comments. Must be late or something :) Yeah the fight through the village with a break for a couple of pints of guinness at the pub was a classic. Would be great to be allowed to have a civilised fight like that, mano et mano, without the fuzz turning up and locking you up.
