Warnock will be charged with goat fiddling, and Johnson will be wall papered all over Redprints house.

That's about as realistic of you lot being top 6, probably correct about our position but will be 18th possibly slightly higher but not far from you lot.

Hey @RedorDead - how did it go this season?

OS - Belated many congratulations on your well deserved promotion.

Warnock did another sterling job.

Cheers AN16.

I'm first to admit we're nothing special as a squad in this division this season, but Warnock's presence made us special despite his detractors.

Getting us up is one thing - staying up is a completely different matter. We wait with baited breath, but at least we've got another shot at it. <ok>

And they are much better than the Cardiff fans on here <whistle>

Hey Tom..... I told you Warnock was the better manager than LJ. You should have taken him when you had the chance. What he did with Cardiff in 18 months has been brilliant. Imagine what he could have done with the funds available to waste at BS3 with your club <whistle>

Don't know how long this will last after yet another thread is closed, but here goes....https://www.not606.com/threads/how-much-money-does-bristol-city-have.362375/

Last comment on the thread from Wiz - "Another thread ruined, boring and achieving nothing." What makes a thread a thread? - Posters posting of course! <doh>

In the understandable absence of life on this board, why did you close it Wiz - just because you can't handle it personally or were you protecting your members again?

You posted the thread and no one was interested. At least posters were talking to each other even if disagreeing and putting some life into the board instead of just reading these sterile copy and paste threads of yours and switching off.

Butt out and let posters talk.

Just looking in from the outside, I cannot see what Wiz has done wrong. He copied and pasted word for word from a media outlet, which we all do. The complaints about the info should be directed towards the Bristol Post. Bare in mind, they are very pro City over us gasheads, which the reds on here should admit to be the case. The Bristol Post likes to use rivals when comparing details, just to stir up animosity between fans. Sensible I know!

Here is the article that Wiz took the info from... https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/how-much-money-bristol-city-1590057 At the bottom of that page, there is a link you can click on to complain, if you feel so strongly about, which you obviously do, clearly.

As regards to posters posting is what makes a thread, I disagree. Its the standard of content from posters is what makes a thread. The thread in question, in my opinion, was hijacked and the thread maker attacked. It was brought to everyone's attention that Wiz just copied and pasted the info and that was attacked. Sorry but if I was a red poster on here and I opened up that thread and seen the replies, I would be thinking, I cant be assed with this and would be put off from posting. If this was on the Rovers board and I was mod, I would also put an end to that thread too. End of the day, the City board belongs to the City members. You and me, along with other non City fans are guests on this board and should behave accordingly.

That thread had 14 comments on it. 7 were from Cardiff complaining and the other 7 comments responding to those complaints. Is that really a good thread? No. You claim that no one was interested in that thread. But my reply is if no one posted on it, it would still have been better thread than what that thread became with the silly comments on it. So remembering you are a guest on the City board, saying "butt out and let posters talk" is not only disrespectful to the City board but it is just plain wrong. If you have nothing constructive to say on threads on the City board then you lot should butt out and let the City folk post on the City board. Who are you to tell a City member/mod what they can and cant do on their own board? Im sure your non respectful and non constructive comments can be posted on this banter thread and then those who are actually interested in that behaviour has a place to go instead of threads being ruined by arguements. Just my opinion though, like it or not.

Anyway..... <smooch>

No probs about your opinion Sparrow - it's what inter club boards are about. <ok>

I do however dispute your point about being "guests" on another Not 606 club forum. This is an open forum for all to comment and voice their opinions and that doesn't necessarily mean disrupting a thread. Remote was mainly referring to past experinces you may not be aware of.

Therer are plenty of "one-club" forums for most league clubs and those that want to talk solely about themselves have that opportunity - this forum is different. <ok>

BTW - <smooch><smooch> to you too.

You are free to dispute my point (which you have done respectfully which I appreciate <ok>), as you say this is an open forum free for all to comment on <ok> But that is where my agreement with your opinion on the matter ends. A few years ago, we had issues on the Rovers board where pretty much every thread was being ruined and I wont mention the name of 1 of the culprits (cough cough Wiz cough cough <laugh>). The supermod at the time (I think it was Sid) stepped in and confirmed, the Rovers board is for Rovers members. Members of other clubs who visit the Rovers board were guests and should act like so. So guests are free to comment, because it is an open forum free for all to comment. But they should be respectful, constructive with the theme of the thread that they are posting on. This was the supermods stance at the time which was embraced on our board and mostly respected by guests. However some didn't and were banned with agreement from the supermod. I was mod at the time on our board and I received many PM's from our members who said their goodbyes as they didn't want to carry on here on not606 as everything was being hijacked. So I do have history with this subject, so I respectfully fully disagree with you interpretation of what a guest can do <ok>

I am not aware of past experiences that you mentioned. Perhaps it was deserved ;)

Cheers for your thoughts Sparrow. I do accept as a Gas you're qualified to comment on this "Cross Channel banter" thread through your location even if you know fck all about it for some time now..........<laugh>

You're point on another thread (I don't want to hijack it <yikes>) about being "respectful and constructive with the theme of the thread being posted on" should surely work both ways? Visiting posters have a point of view (often at odds with "home " posters) but that is always going to happen on an open forum.

I dispute that any thread over here was deliberately hijacked by any CC poster. A number were blown well off course by a certain foul mouthed local abuser who thankfully seems to have slung his hook this past few months. Nothing was done about his obscene rantings by the local mods - just a pat on the back now and again to comfort him in his distress bless him.

Play it both ways on the forums - if it's disrespectful to call Wurzels "Wurzels" as has been suggested (I couldn't believe that <doh>) then why shout Sheepshaggers the other way. Personally I don't give a **** about what is said in jest, but the modding double standards over here are rank.

Anyway, on with the party - when are you lot going to get back up here Sparrow - oops, I mean Championship of course, not Premier League...<laugh>:emoticon-0105-wink:

Hey Jack.
If you read my post, I wasn't complaining I was merely pointing out a skewed comment.
I know the wizened one didn't write it as many of his posts are simple cut and pastes which I have little issue with.
My comment wasn't directed at him but at the content (though there might have been a little dig along the way as he hates the word Cardiff in any post on the brizzle board, the irony being he posted it).
My subsequent posts were in defence of me being accused of having a go at wiz, which I hadn't.
In this post, Sparkey is highlighting wiz's standard response, close the thread.
Posting accusatory statements against a club and not expecting a response is naive.
As I said, if he didn't want a response he should have redacted the article before posting.
Maybe he didn't read what he posted. Equally naive.

Do I have to read it again?? :(

No - just stop defending it. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I want to stop, I really do, but your Welsh so I support my fellow Bristolians first <laugh>

By the way, who will you be supporting at the world cup? Im sure it will be the 3 teams in Englands group, but after we get knocked out at the group stage, who will be your team?

Sparrow - after our excellent showing in the Euros, this WC is passing most us by - can't wait for next season. :emoticon-0105-wink:

No hard feelings you understand, but I'd rather buy Wiz a pint than support you lot (it was hard to say that <laugh>).

If I had to support anyone, it would have to be Iceland again, if only because they stuffed you lot in the Euros. <ok>

I know you wont be supporting us. Thats a given. Iceland stuffed us? Is 2-1 a stuffing? Hmm. Still embarrassing though.

At least we still got to beat your lot though....
