Bored out of my skull at the moment.
Felt unwell on Friday while fishing. Went downhill quickly after I got home.
Daughter had been unwell since Tuesday but thought it was heat exhaustion as she'd been showing at the Cheshire show all day.
Anyway, Friday she phoned Mrs Remote to say she'd tested positive for covid.
I did a test and woohoo, me to.
So, Mrs Remote has me confined to the bedroom.
Had dreamt about a woman keeping me hostage in a bedroom, but this isnt what I had in mind.
Been following social media, watching films on the PC, streaming sport, sneaked out to do a few jobs at the small holding (only seeing animals, no people).
Returned a bit drained so was browsing a few bits and came across this.
Always interesting to see how things are made.

Because of my health issues I had to shield when the virus was at its most prolific. I chose Lego to keep me at my usual level of sanity (or insanity). More dangerously, I got into watching the Parliament Channel which did nothing other than make me angry. Seems it's a drug though and I still watch it.
Great video. It just goes to show that real genius lies in the hands and minds of toolmakers.
Anyway, please look after yourself.

Im ok really. Slept about 15 hours from Friday night into Saturday afternoon then another 12 Saturday night into late morning Sunday. After that its just been like a cold, which could just be hay fever anyway. Its floored our daughter though. She's sleeping all the time.
I've got into the bad habit of watching parliamentary stuff, especially PMQs. Its scary to see the buffoons who are running the country. Some if the things they say are naive at best, malicious and dangerous at worse.

Indeed, anyone can make things complicated, clever people make things simple.

Had it at the start of this year. Thankfully I wasn't too bad and was confined to my son's room (he was still in Germany at the time).
I was fortunate enough to have a 50inch TV with Netflix and the old PS2 with LMA manager to play on to help pass the time.

You're right about PMQs and just keep shouting "answer the ****ing question". All the posturing with the young guns trying to get noticed. That said, there are some genuine people on all sides and I just hope they don't get corrupted by all the nonsense.

There are genuine people across the house. The problem is they get ground down.
How we've ended up with Dorries, Rabb, Patel, Gove and Rees-Mogg on the front benches beggars belief.
Ben Wallace provides a glimmer of hope, but he's outnumbered by stupid.
And what Fabricant does before he speaks couldnt be construed as thinking.
Not any better on the oposition bbenches. Blackford all that is bad about politics. At least Abbott is confined to the back benches.

Yep. We've descended into Trumpian, popularist government at a time when state craft is needed. Mudslinging ahead of policy.
Gloucester doesn't deserve me but it's been suggested that I would go down well in the Forest. A statement with so many connotations it's scary.

Matson isn't too far away from me. The "Top" is like Ely used to be.
Matson Rugby Club is good as is Saint ridge RFC. Terrible beer but good people. Not that I've been to either for many years.

I grow quite a few veg in my plot at the small holding. Always grow a couple types of tatties, earlies and main crop.
Plant the tatties, once they're growing, earth up the tatties (pull soil up the sides of the shoots to stop the tatties doing green as they develop (sorry if I'm teaching grannies to suck eggs). Anyway, lots of fields full of tatties around us, and I've wondered how they earth up 10s of acres of tatties. Turns out they don't. They plant them in ridges. Always thought the idea was to get the shoots up early. There's a lot of growing to do to get through the ridges. More interesting technology though.
