Haven't been very well. Hot weather and an infection brought on problems due to heart conditions, trouble breathing and a visit from paramedics. Been reading to see if any signings etcbut didn't feel like posting.

Sorry to read that - hope you're feeling better

Don't why I put that, having been to Holmfirth.:emoticon-0178-rock:

Surprising how many Americans and Japanese have seen Heartbeat and All Creatures Great And Small and visit those areas.

Apparently, Cornwall are having traffic problems as a result of thousands of tourists wanting to visit the places that Poldark was filmed.

Take it easy by the way. <ok>

Cornwall also get ****e load of German tourists due to their fascination with Rosamunde Pilcher books set there. 250 to 300 thousand Germans each year go to Cornwall.

Cheers.

Went on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway some time ago. Obviously popular because of the Railway Children but the number of Bronte obsessed Japanese at Haworth was unbelieveable.
Always spend a few days in Bourton On The Water on the way down ir back from the south coast each year and am always surprised how many Japanese, Koreans and Chinese are wandering around as well as Americans. Can only think they are on day trips from Stratford and Warwick. Americans I have spoken to absolutely love tbe Cotswolds.

Went to Bourton on the water with Mrs Sobchak for our anniversary last year, lovely place.

Add to that the fact that every property in Devon and Cornwall is now for rent on AirBnB, and that most roads are only 17 inches wide.

And for the county who claims to have 248,000 miles of coastline, they only have 4 beaches bigger than a ****ing tennis court.

Head to the Welsh coasts.

Cornwall without the crowds.

Roads that are navigatable.

Beauty unsurpassed.

Space to spare.

It’s full of Welsh people obviously, but you can’t have everything.

It is indeed. Could happily move there. Unlikely due to property prices. A lot of good places to eat, and some decent pubs considering less than 4,000 people live there. A flagship Coop supermarket has opened as well.

Went to this place last year with the wife. Wish there were centres like this or Clarks Village round our way.
Was amazed at how many Chinese were there spending money left right and centre. Some time later read an article about most popular destinations and this shopping centre was the second most visited by them after Buckingham Palace.

****ing Poldark. I have just got my top off and finished the grass with my scythe. Shocking to see the look of disappointment on the women’s faces when they see me.
