Romesh Ranganathan. Unfunny, very passive aggressive and like **** in a field at the minute. Caught 2 minutes of live at the appolo Christmas special. within 1 minute he was saying how he likes making people feel racist when they wish him merry Christmas and he tells them his Sikh and doesn't celebrate it. Then likes to make people feel racist when they don't wish him merry Christmas because he's a Sikh and it's racist to assume he doesn't celebrate Christmas. Naturally the uncomfortable laughs came from the audience. Found my self asking is this what passes for comedy these days.
There isn't many good comedians about anymore. There is a world of difference from being a bit witty on one of these panel shows to doing a stand up routine. There are a few that are not bad at the panel show stuff but wouldn't be paid to go and see them do standup.
So he thinks he can make racism funny , but of course if others did it it would be a no no . He has though demonstrated that it is difficult to say or not say anything these days without the accusations
Just been reading a book about the solar system that my six year old got from school and it's given me anxiety. Fortunately I don't think I'll be around in a few billion years when the sun packs it in or when the Milky Way collides with the Andromeda galaxy. Interested to read that it's thought there could be life on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons. They think there's an ocean under its icy surface.
Liverpool have lost their defence and the team with the red and white stripes and black shorts are 2 up.
I'm confused as to how Harry thinks he can continue to lob grenades over the Buck House walls and then whinge they won't reconcile with him.
He doesn’t have a clue that in real life families go their own ways over lesser things . If I had a brother doing this to me in public there’s no way I’d entertain him , and I hope William and Charles don’t .
Much of modern comedy is based entirely on the embarrassment factor. The Office, Miranda, Gavin & Stacey, etc. Catherine Tate is the worst example, basically just awful characters behaving awfully ... ... I just don't see any wit or intelligence in it.
That's a sorry list for what passes as comedy these days. Or I'm getting old and not understanding this new comedy
Agree with all of them. I've tried to watch but just can't see anything mildly funny at all. Horrendous stuff. I would also add Sarah Millican....unbelievably unfunny.
I managed half an episode of the Office before giving in, never bothered with Gavin and Stacey. I find most modern comedy humourless
got Jimmy Carr tickets given for my birthday a while back. Had a few beers round newcastle first, then to city hall for the gig. we lasted 20 minutes before bailing out, he was proper, unfunny ****! there was a canny few leaving as we came out, most saying the same, just not funny.
