Came on here for a laugh about the GNR medals and saw this. Some things are more important. Best wishes to you and your dad from a Mag. Have been through similar and can appreciate how stressful it is. He'll feel like a truck has hit him for a week or two and sick as a dog from the painkillers but the surgery is very good these days. Cheese on toast helped my dad get through the nausea. Hope all goes well.

Normally place my bets online but came to the bookies to put a few on today. Ended up chucking a few quid on a horse which won so stayed a little longer and had a look at some other races.. backed a 40/1 winner with £2.50 each way and the horse that came 2nd with £7.50 each way.. the employee apparently placed the bet 15 seconds too late so it’s void. Surely it would just change to the in play odds? If the ****er lost they wouldn’t have refunded it I kna that!
Nightmare mate. That is what happens and it does work both ways. I had a big bet on a horse once and just as they were finishing and I knew it was beat (only a 5f race) they shouted me over to tell me it wasn’t placed in time and give me my cash back.
Does anybody want any clothes? I’ve had them sitting upstairs and never bothered to send them back. All have their tags on and never worn. If not they’re going in the bin.
