1990 World Cup being remembered fondly as a classic tournament when in fact the standard of football was dire
Really dislike Southgate and Kane for acting like they are using their platform to raise awareness of Qatar's shortcomings when they're just taking their ****ing cash to be part of the same corrupt machine that's been laughable since blatter.
So, in protest, I won't be watching. Though that ****ing kills me given it's the world cup and all.
i would have thought the best way to try to get a country to change it's ways would be to make sure it could not 'join in' and be ignored by as many as possible, simply bowing down and taking their money just allows them to continue doing as they wish.
I always think of Nesun Dorma first when I think of that world cup. It is the only one I can remember the song from. I did like Roberto Baggio though, but tend to agree overall.1990 World Cup being remembered fondly as a classic tournament when in fact the standard of football was dire
Yeah, it's just openly corrupt and it makes it look like all the kneeling, the speaking and the campaigning over the last couple of years has been nothing but virtue signalling.

for those of a certain vintage the 1970 world cup was outstanding, In Brazil possibly the best team ever to grace a football field
