I wouldn't be confident mate, but you never know. I strangely feel the Germans could be the more vulnerable of them and Portugal if your gonna cause an upset. There has been a lot of arguments between players in there camp, and they've had a few key injurys. Losing Reus there best player IMO is a massive blow. Ghana are no mugs either they'll fancy there chances too, there isn't an easy game for anyone in that group
Well Matth said we won't get out of the group. Should I celebrate now, or later? Our chances dwindled as soon as Landon Donavon got left out of the 23. Absolutely ridiculous decision, and one that will haunt not only Jurgen Klinnsman, but the entire squad through out the tournament. I agree about Germany, but mostly because of the weather. The Germans will be most effected by the weather, our game I believe is in Recife or something which is on the coast near the equator, so it'll be hot and humid. If we start with more players from the MLS, or those that have played there for a decent chunk of time, we'll have that advantage. Our German contingent will probably have a hard time though, but only 2 of them will start. The longer we're even with Germany the better. In the second half the humidity will really start to kick in and they will mostly likely struggle to adapt and I think we can take advantage of that. Ghana will have a slight advantage with the weather, but all in all I believe we're a better team than they are. We'll also have the extra motivation to beat them as they knocked us out of the last two world cups. Portugal will be interesting, that game is being playing in the amazon on the equator so it'll be extremely hot and extremely humid, if Ronaldo is less than 80% fit we have a chance. Biggest issue in my opinion is we left the man whose scored more World Cup goals than Rooney, Messi, Ronaldo, and Zlatan combined at home. We now don't have a time tested and proven match winner. There are very few players who have that skill, to step up and score the goal that counts, that other teammates look to, Landon Donavon is that player for the United States. As you can tell I'm still bitter about it.
That is an urban myth.It is called the World Series because the Yanks/Canadians regard the winners as World Champions.
No it's not, that myth has been disproved on many occasions. The name came when the owner of Pittsburgh challenged the Red Sox to what he referred to as a World Series, and the name stuck from there. Only yanks would be egotistical enough to call a national tournament a world tournament
The England football team were today given a tour round a Rio Favela today. "It's heartbreaking to see people with no future and no hope" Said a Favela resident!!..
Seems a mixed thing on the interwebs about it, so we can be sure on one thing, baseball is rounders with a bigger bat and fat yanks
Its the interwebs, I tell you, lies all of it. I will concur with Metths twitter, he will know the real answer
Top scorer will be an Argentinian. Take your pick form Aguero, Higuain or Messi. I'm going for Aguero.
