I met Cest once in the car park outside the ground. I didn't even know it was him until the conversation finished and Gordon give me the heads up that's who he was. He's a very unassuming fella and at the time he had his business at Chester. Not sure if he's still going or not, I only live a few miles away, I could always have a look, I suppose.

I think Jerry still frequently pops her head in on here. Billy thought the absolute world of her, god bless him. I remember Outlaw well, he had some cracking tales to tell. Can you remember the name of the poster who moved to Canada and set up his own bar business over there?

You may have sent him a package come to think of it. Somebody did anyway, I think...

It was Hordenmakem bro, I sent him a Sunderland scarf and shirt to hang up in his new bar/brewery..<ok>

Yes, that’s it. I knew I could remember that happening :emoticon-0100-smile

Hey, morning all.. Just want to apologise for the tone last night @Dancingstripes, I was bang out of order. Will leave you all in peace now, enjoy the forum and lets see a proper promotion run from the lads now.. All the very best..<ok>

Morning Joe. No need to apologise mate. I don't take anything personally on here.

Carry on using the site, arguments happen, but we are all safc fans, and that's what matters most.

I've never thought of myself the way you have described, maybe that's the way I come across though, so I'll want to do something about that.

For the record, this owner mate of mine you keep referring too has banned me more than most from the site, if not the most.

Enjoy the rest of your night <ok>
And you still bloody come back<laugh>

Going back 7 years here with this thread, lots happened since then but you will see the general banter and a similar problem with fans @MrRAWhite ..<ok>

Quite easy to view old threads on here, not many bother though, people and situations change, no good living in the past, life can change at the click of your fingers..

Yip.. As I have said for years: we have changed managers, owners and players.. Many who have done well before coming here. As Phillips stated today.. "Sunderland is a fantastic place to play football when things are going well".. I think he was on my wavelength and also saying it is a bloody awful place to play football when it is not going well.

I still keep in touch with Cest on Facebook and he is fine. I had a few pre match beers with Flash The Mackem on Saturday if anyone remembers him..
