Yeah went the last two seasons and for a ground that's out the way a bit think the trains to and from the centre work really well. They leave the concourses open after the game as well so you can have a drink and some grub while the queues die down.

Like the fact it's single tier behind each goal with 2/3 on either side, gives it a unique look.

    Never been to Fratton.

    Proper old ground !
I remember going down to watch a Friday night game a few days before Xmas in 1979.
It's snowed like bloody hell and I was freezing !
The lines from Waterloo where sticking because of the snow so got to game late .Keith Mellor was in goal !
After the game we had to walk all the way to the harbour to get the ferry .
    Bloody cold night !

    Sounds good.

A few of my mates down our way have been to Brighton. Most of them support your usual Prem teams and now Brighton are in the big league low and behold they've popped to see Brighton a few times!

I like Fratton Park. Its old school. Old English football which I like.

It has character and history that new prefab stadiums just don't have no matter how nice they look.

It is true it needs work structurally - the south stand is being worked on now.

I like the fact its a big of a cauldron - can be quite intimidating and noisy for opposition fans - I want that!

    Pitch is excellent though. Spotless.

I've been to St Mary's once on a corporate day in one of the boxes 4/5 years ago against Leeds. 1v1 I think it was.

I dunno, it just doesn't have the same feel to it that I imagine The Dell did.

I liked going to the Dell. It was a change from Old Trafford.

Funny how everyone’s memories of a trip to Pompey include bad weather, **** public transport, misery and general grimness.

Usually at some point you will also get offered out for a fight by some toothless old bearded loon, who looks about 90. Best to decline the offer, btw.

Funny how nobody really remembers the trips to St Mary's.

Sold your sole when you got rid of The Dell.

Have some great memories, but I don’t actually miss it. And once it went all seater the capacity was tiny, and even then it was only suitable for people with no legs.

That tattooed, pierced, prick was at Kingfield last week with his bells, horns and drums.

When the Woking fans sang "you can stick your bell up your arse", the Pompey fans cheered.

Quite a few of them do find him a bit of an embarrassment, tbf.

He got a ban from St Mary’s for pissing on the seats. He must be in his 50’s ffs.
