If, as the statement on the Club official website claims, the Allams’ were presented with “Allam Out” scarves as Christmas presents at one of the previous meetings that is very childish and hardly going to sit well with our sensitive (when it comes to taking criticism) owners.

And before anyone suggests it, I am no Allam apologist.

Club response

With regards to the owners’ recent call for amnesty and unity in supporting the team, to find some middle ground with the fans and to accommodate their requirements, the Club have subsequently held two positive Supporters’ Committee meetings and have already committed to the following:

⁃ Concessions: reintroduction of concessions in accordance with Premier League ruling (as there are no concessionary requirements in the Football League)

⁃ Crest: to consult with fans on the redesign of the Club Crest

⁃ Brand Guidelines: to amend existing brand guidelines as per the fans’ reasonable wishes

Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam said, “In light of recent comments made in the local media by the Supporters' Trust, which the Club considers to be a thinly veiled threat of further disruptive action, we had no alternative but to postpone this evening’s meeting.

“In an effort to maintain and continue the positive dialogue we have overlooked inappropriate incidents at the first two meetings, such as being presented with ‘Allam Out’ scarves as Christmas presents by the Supporters' Trust on behalf of Hull City Action for Change.

“We are still very much committed to continuing with open dialogue, but we cannot be there with guns held to our heads.

“We hope the threat of further disruptive action can be retracted, so we can continue the next meeting with all parties in attendance and pulling together to agree on the detail and delivery of the brand guidelines, crest redesign and concessions.”

The Supporters' Committee will reconvene later this month.

Sounds like a threat to me. Ho ho.

If the Allams really have the best interests for Hull City wouldn't it make more sense to meet with the supporters despite the claimed thinly veiled threats? or they realised they had been sussed and had nothing to offer at tonights meeting?

For sure many will only see their version of events and blame the Trust.

I don’t think there’s anybody left who’d actually see their version events is there?

They used up their goodwill a long time ago.

I think it's possible to see the truth in all of this, but also regret the opportunity the Allams have been given by trying to play them at their own game.

I agree not a smart move by the Trust on behalf of Hull City Action for Change.

"Inappropriate incidents at the first two meetings" the scarves is one what else happened that they view as inappropriate?

Did I ever tell you that they are not daft? Petty vindictive and childish but not daft.

Did the scarves actually happen? Anyone verify this? Or is it more bullshit? Perhaps it was just the personal verification Ehab needed - Allam Out <diva><diva>

GLP - I do not know but it should be easy to verify. Can someone who attended the previous meetings confirm/ deny?

You've got it in one (on both counts).

Sorry TW, but unfortunately, unbelievably, you are wrong. Beggars belief but there is.

The worst part of this is I actually thought something might change. I thought the Allams might actually try and bring concessions back.

Absolutely fuming, I said I would not attend a game until they are gone. I am tempted to attend the game on Sky to take part in any protest, that's how angry I am. If anyone know what the protest is, message me! I know you won't share plans on a public forum!

If it is true it's not childish it's damn unprofessional and it beggars belief an elected person could even think it acceptable

Not a surprise.

I'll hold my tongue on what I really want to say because these vermin would probably take me to court.

Needless to say my opinion of them isn't peachy.
