utr'S..My all time top tune by a man who never actually heard his own record..Im sure you know the history.
Been my favourite tune for many years now and even my kids sang it to my once when waking me up on my birthday morn....

a proper candidate for the listing "CLASSIC" ! <ok>

Thanks for sharing your links/ music choices Queenslander!!. It's everyone's music thread. I like your post mate, some good music.

I put Otis as the 1st post to show that I intended this thread to be a serious one and yes it's such a beautiful song. I bet we have all had moments in life with that sitting at the dock feeling.

The other thing that's made me really happy is there has not been anyone putting down other peoples taste in music as I asked in my 1st post.

I love all kinds of music styles from different eras and have discovered some new stuff too.

I started this thread as a place to escape all the who we are being linked to bulls**t and something to do untill the new season starts.

Thanks again to everyone and let the music play on!

Sooperhoop , that's another fave guitar player in one of your links, Randy California of Spirit. Did you hear how he passed away?

California drowned in the Pacific ocean in 1997 at the age of 45 while rescuing his 12-year-old son Quinn from a rip current near the home of his mother, Bernice Pearl, at Molokai, Hawaii. He managed to push Quinn (who survived) toward the shore.

RIP Randy!

A real tragedy with still so much to offer. The album that track is from, '12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus' is one of the great concept albums of that era.

Also,three members of Lynyrd Skynyrd were killed in a plane crash in 1977...
